July 11, 2024Jul 11 I may send something this time. I’m between three songs. One is a chill pop song with a great collaboration, but I’m not sure if I see it making out a semi. The second is a very dramatic dark pop song, but would be good to keep for Unknown Pleasures. The final one has a high chance for a veto but would be the strongest of the three. HMMMMMM.

July 12, 2024Jul 12 I’m between like literally 10 songs this month but I went with something that I think pop girlies will appreciate and which might do well. #sellout
July 12, 2024Jul 12 Zanmatony are coming for the wooden spoon this month, so there's plenty of room for others to do well! :P How many confirmations so far RobBot?
July 12, 2024Jul 12 Hushky is staying for an extra contest as the overlap has timed itself well with the summer holidays!
July 12, 2024Jul 12 My entry this month inspired by my recent binge of One Piece through the Alabasta arc and onto mild, sensible obsession (it is not a One Piece song, already did that once (with The World's Continuation))
July 13, 2024Jul 13 I have no ideas so I've sent something from 1983 that is so gloriously tacky that I can't help but love it.
July 13, 2024Jul 13 I've sent an emotionally stimulating, reasonably well known electronica-classical song. The artist has been sent before and also as a producer of one of the best tracks of the decade so far but this one sounds very different to both of those, as well as the new material currently being released, so not too ashamed of recycling. That's enough description I think.

July 14, 2024Jul 14 Author Three vetoes coming THROUGH ~ SOFI TUKKER - Spiral 15 - artist came 20th in BJSC 81, 16th in BJSC 94 & 1st in BJSC 115 3+12 - appeared in 4 personal charts, 1 of which is a current BJSC participant (AH Gold) - was in Dan's Dance Track of the Week poll (coming 4th with 1 vote) - mid level blog coverage Magdalena Bay - Death & Romance 24 - artist came 21st in BJSC 115, 32nd in BJSC 126, 33rd in BJSC 130, 3rd in BJSC 136 & 23rd in BJSC 155 5+12 - appeared in 3 personal charts, 1 of which is a BJSC participant (Doctor Blind) - moderate blog coverage (Pitchfork, StereoGum, Dork etc.) 7 TSHA and Rose Gray - Girls 20 - TSHA came 26th in BJSC 128 3 - Rose Gray came 13th in BJSC 133, 2nd in BJSC 145 & 1st in BJSC 147 5+12 - appeared in 8 personal charts, 6 of which are BJSC participants (Ansel, danG, Doctor Blind, Jade, jimwatts, Kath) - was in Dan's Dance Track of the Week poll (coming 1st with 5 votes); is also currently in Doctor Blind's Electronic Track of the Month poll - low to mid level blog coverage I think there's a fair chance one more veto is on the way, but still in discussion ~
July 14, 2024Jul 14 Magdalena Bay - Death & Romance 24 I flirted with the idea of confirming either this or their newest single 'Image' for next month's contest but presumed it would be vetoed given the amount of times they've been confirmed to the contest before + the extensive critical acclaim that's been surrounding them this era so far ! July 14, 2024Jul 14 That TSHA/Rose Gray song is great (charted it as you can see) but yeah, a fair veto.
July 14, 2024Jul 14 Author Dagny - Hate Being Alone 10 - artist came 33rd in BJSC 79 & 7th in BJSC 96 3+7 - peaked at #53 on Norwegian Spotify (not currently charting) - appeared in 5 personal charts, 1 of which is a BJSC participant (AH Gold) - album track(?), low level blog coverage for parent album - *MOD DISCRETION* Although the veto points don’t add up, we deem her to be too big of an artist for BJSC at this point in her career*
