As of last week, Stick Season has now surpassed 100 million UK streams on Spotify this year.

Last year's most streamed song Sprinter only managed 96 million for the whole year (although admittedly it wasn't released until June).

Flowers which was released in January did 87 million last year.

very good hold for Jade indeed

it's the surprise of the year for me, both musically and how well it's performing in streaming

cos I knew there was a 4th Little Mixer who hadn't released yet

but I couldn't tell you her name or looks or anything

I actually thought Leann Flops was gonna do the best, thats the only one I know, mostly cos of the White Lotus

but I also thought the first single was promising

so very + surprised with Jade

I could never have told the difference between any of the members of Little Mix (I'm like that with most pop groups tbf x) but wasn't Jade always the most popular one / the one people thought would do best as a solo artist?

I'm just holding out to see if she's going to be collaborating with Fontaines D.C. after their inexplicable music video crossover x

Can people please stop with the childish name calling. It’s expected of a certain troll/member but low key embarrassing for everyone else.

It's just a Buzzmeme like "Pineapple" now, it's not really intended as anything more than one of the forum's numerous in-jokes (that's how I'm interpreting it anyway)
No.11 for Jade on Apple Music

I think the expectation was always that Perrie was more of a Cheryl who would see more mainstream success, with Jade more like Nicola

Perrie just left it too long to release bland music — things would have been different a decade ago.

I’m far from an expert on Little Mix members but I thought Perrie was regarded as vocally the strongest by some distance. That doesn’t necessarily translate into solo success of course.

Anyway the Jade track is head and shoulders above anything the others have come out with: I’ve already given it a 2nd play and it was because I wanted to hear it again rather than because I felt I shouldn’t dismiss it immediately.

I think Jade always seemed to have the most "loyal" and strongest fanbase amongst the group. She has the "ride or die" LGBTQ+ fans on her side for example (think similar to Charli/Robyn/Tove etc.. - but maybe more of a mainstream appeal due to being in Little Mix)

Perrie has always been the most "popular" in terms of followers on socials etc.. and she was always known as "the vocalist" but she hasn't really given us anything yet that showcases her power (see Nadine from Girls Aloud for another example). She is legit one of the best power vocalists in the UK right now, but she's just giving us MOR-Heart radio stuff that doesn't capitalise on that so much.

Leigh-Anne was and still is the underdog. It's a shame 'My Love' didn't take off the way it deserved to tbh. Except for 'Forbidden Fruit', I have liked most of her stuff. But I think that is where the problem lies for her, her music won't translate much further than "nice" to casuals. She doesn't invoke a strong enough reaction with her songs (and it doesn't help that her label are shit ofc - she's had by FAR the worst immediate support with playlisting for example). I think 'OMG' has the potential to take off if it was to start going viral on Tik Tok though.

But overall I think Jade has always been expected to be the "quiet assassin" of the group. She has her finger on the pulse of pop culture and knows what her fanbase wants from her.

Fair enough then, clearly I don't pay enough attention! 'Forget About Us' was certainly quite a DOA attempt to deliver on Perrie's potential oop.

I've not heard the JADE song yet (cautiously optimistic based on what other people have said about it) but so far the only solo Mix song I've particularly cared for was 'Don't Say Love'.

Jade might debut lower than perrie without physicals but it's looking better for longevity
Tbf her second single sounds like a total banger from the little snippet so even if AOMD misses the top 10 I can see good things for her.
