I could accept that Michelle foolishly fell for the flattery of a younger man. It’s not that different from what happened with Keanu and Sharon-but where Michelle had come from it was illegal and also inappropriate wherever you’re from given she was his teacher.

A foolish mistake, come up from boredom with her life and the feeling of aging I could have bought-in fact, that’s all I thought it was when Michelle first revealed it. Doing something like that was absolutely in character with original Michelle.

But it was when the boy came over and she still perused it-that crossed all the lines and I think viewers had in in for her from then on.

If nothing else, it was nice to Sharon happier than she’s been in years tonight!!

Teddy is such a drip and I don’t think him and Sharon could have any less chemistry if they tried.

Totally agree that they're handling the aftermath of Martin's death well so far, which should always be the case, but particularly relieving for a loss of this magnitude on the show.

Intrigued to see what will be in store for Lily's character in the future. Really loving the scenes between her and Stacey this week. Those interactions with Ruby at the table were tense also.

One thing I loved in todays episode has to the scenes with Johnny and Bianca, a rather delightful friendship there!

It’s not even anniversary week and yet nostalgia is everywhere.

If you’d told me a few years ago I’d be watching Grant, Nigel, Bianca and Yolande all back and as part of really good storylines, I’m not sure I’d have believed you.

Teddy I don’t mind but he is the weak link in the new Mitchells and they’ve barely bothered to develop the relationship between him and Sharon. She’ll have a quick bonk with Grant on the kitchen floor, pout through the fall out and then be back with Phil within the year, I’d imagine.

Honestly, this is probably the best return Grant has ever done. It’s tapped into his past-all of it-laid some ghosts to rest and it genuinely feels like he’s now had character development.

2016 was patchy and bizarre, 2005/6 felt like they were trying to bring back the old Grant. I think having Bianca and Nigel back at the same time has really lifted things.

On the other hand, Jean was a bit slow to stop Lilly blurting all of that out.

Grant's return has been very up and down. However tonight's ep was great for him.

Al his scenes with Bianca have been amazing - the sizzling hatred between the two! But the quiet convo in the laundrette tonight was perfect.

Same with his chats to Phil and Nigel before leaving.

This PTSD storyline with Bianca is honestly one of my favourite storylines they have going on atm, its so well done and written! I forget how brill of a actress Patsy Palmer is with given the right material

Apparently Shane Richie and Steve McFadden were there as well so a mini EE reunion in general.

I actually think this past week was even stronger than the anniversary week. It's great to see them really pull the aftermath out of the bag, with some stellar performances all round. Grant's return has been great, I completely agree, and the scenes with Bianca have been a particular highlight, and his bond with Nigel was tugging on my heartstrings, even as someone who hasn't seen any of their scenes together first time round.

I’m intrigued by Tommy’s "friend group forum" line in the café and Alfie later mentioning his "internet friends". The word forum doesn’t feel that throwaway so I wonder if it’s tied to some kind of Internet grooming/radicalising thing, with the rise of misogynistic influencers being a very current topic.

@Jade I hadn't clocked that until this evening when Tommy becomes agitated at the thought of not being able to speak to his "friend".

Also, Julia klaxon! Less than 2 weeks after the live she gets named although the scene was a little off with Sonia not naming her until the hospital calls. I guess they'd filmed both names and had to slot that part in to the episode.

So Zack gives £100 for a half-drunk bottle of booze from a bar? Could have got a whole new bottle from the supermarket for less than half that.

Then he tries to kiss Ruby (he'll kiss anyone, that guy)

And all after he finds out he has another kid?

I loved Bianca’s comment about Joey, that was a strange time for the show.

Jean treats Harvey so horribly. I know he will end up cheating with Kathy and we’re all supposed to feel sorry for Jean, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to.

I like Zack and I like Nicola but this storyline is not the one.

Yea it seems really out of character for Jean to be so inconsiderate of Harvey but I don't like how they're setting this up as reason or justification for him to cheat, if he's so unhappy that he wants to get with Kathy he should break up with Jean first but that would defy soap logic I suppose 😅 it's not in his nature to cheat either so it'll be interesting to see how they play that one out.

Bianca and Kojo's friendship is really lovely too.

Got to laugh at Stacey going to Sean's for "a few days" - babe it's gonna be months xx

I thought Kojo was gonna start attacking the food fighters in the beale cafe, and then for it all to come out that Kathy was covering foe him wirh the Cindy attack. But no. Nothing quite so interesting. Cindy is still extorting them with no evifence ... after shooting them and causing a Queen Vic explosion and two deaths... But ok
