Good news, the combined versions are relatively popular vs Kylie’s other songs on Spotify but not bad for the third single off Light Years. Physical singles sales began to freefall in 2000 too, pre downloads and in the midst of illegal file sharing.

Not my favourite track by any means but ALWAYS good to see Kylie snatch another certification!

I do like Kids but tour wise overuse killed it a bit, good to see another certification coming through, spinning around must be next id say.

'Kids' sold 283k as of the w/e 25th July 2019, meaning it has averaged 389 chart sales per week. I suspected it would be certified Gold this year but didn't think it would be this soon in the year. I'm desperately waiting for 'Slow' to go Silver before anything else!

'On a Night Like This' is on track to be Kylie's next Gold certified song but I estimate it to be about 300k, so it's a long way off yet.

In Your Eyes must be closing down on Gold too.

So many must be close to silver.

Oh I pray we have an insider update soon.

Bloody finally and it deserves much more but let’s celebrate the moment for Slow.

Finally! I mean it’s living up to its name - I didn’t think it was ever going to happen 🤣

I can't wait for Slow's Platinum certification in 2162! 🤣

Think it’s been managing 10k a year (happy to be corrected if that’s too generous) so 2045 might be realistic ha ha.

I’m sure there’s some pre 1994 chart data thing going on, and it didn’t help that it took PWL until late 2016 to permanently add their work to streaming platforms, but surely many of 1989-1992 Kylie singles are due certifications. Grateful though that Especially For You had a platinum cert awarded despite being confirmed as a million seller way previous (pre 1989 releases it was a million required for platinum).

Yay for 'Slow' finally getting there! What a slog that has been.

Hasn't it just?! It feels a bit strange that this day has finally come. I'll always be eager to see more Kylie certifications every time I the BPI site updates each Friday, but I can chill a bit now that 'Slow' has finally reached Silver.

It took 303 weeks to sell 46k, which works out at 152 chart sales per week on average, which is pretty much what I suspected it was selling.

Next in line for Silver... potentially 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' which I think it is at least over 190k by now. It was 5 places above 'Slow' on Kylie's most streamed songs which suggest its averaging higher; it was also one place higher than 'Wow' which was averaging 220 per week between 2019 and 2022. 220 chart sales would put 'Roses' at 191k and 247 chart sales would mean it was at 200k right now.

I don't think there's many, but one I think should happen some time soon is Silver for 'The Loco-motion' as it never received a certification back in the day. Sold about 376k in the 80s which increased to 434k in 2018 (pure sales). Streams accounted for about 110k in 2023, giving an overall total of 544k and about 30k off of achieving 200k sales in the digital era.

Does anyone know how close "All The Lovers" is to getting a Platinum certification? It was certified Gold eight years ago.
