Not a good year for the Martins as Solveig also takes a large tumble with 'Places' and Jensen continues to not make much of an impact either. Post Malone's pivot to country this year doesn't assist with his biggest hit 'Rockstar'. Kesha continues to lose ground with 'Praying' along with Miley Cyrus' 'Malibu' both which made the semis two years ago. 'Reputation' era Taylor still isn't that popular here with both hits from the album making losses. Rag'n'Bone Man is also back out again with his biggest hit. Bicep's biggest hit 'Glue' just loses out on an AQ position making a small gain this year. Katy's comeback assists her 'Witness' era output firstly with 'Bon Appetite' nearly AQing too. For the indie fans LCD Soundsystem make a big gain with 'Oh Baby' to 44, Everything Everything make a first impact for 2017 at 49 and Linking Park make a jump with 'Heavy' to 51 perhaps assisted by the news of their reformation and new single. One of the few trance songs ever in contention here, Gareth Emery's most loved track 'Saving Light' continues to rise to 43 (great to see). Meanwhile the more chart-friendly dance of Sigala enters at 48 and we also see a big boost for Charli to 52 assisted by this year's 'Brat' album. Having lost the much discussed rap beef Drake falls a fair bit with 'Passionfruit' whilst Kendrick's 'Humble' makes the semi-finals again. P!nk's big hit of the year seemingly got all forgotten about in the nominations process ever since losing out an AQ slot in 2017's first inclusion in the game, but now makes a big comeback to 28. Lana has a good year here too with 'Love' almost picking up enough momentum for a semi-finalist spot and 'Lust for Life' entering at 54 whilst indie fans fave Sufjan Stevens continues to make gains to AQ for the first time. A couple of dance songs also see gains with 'Feels' (now joining Calvin's 'Slide' in the semis) and 'You Don't Know Me' (big yay!).
