Surprise omissions for me are The Hollies, huge in the 60's and Status Quo.

Gave 2 votes to The Beatles, 2 to Queen and 1 to Oasis.

Oasis are 8 places too low and the Pet Shop Boys should be way higher, but other than that it's a pretty good list!

I mean the list is fairly hideous but to be expected from radio 2s target audience :kink:

Pleasantly surprised to see Girls Aloud made it at 21. Expected to see Spice Girls higher

Predictable top 3

Surprise omissions for me are The Hollies, huge in the 60's and Status Quo with their best songs in the 60s

OMG the results are like a night being soundtracked by a 60 year old straight white man who has spent the past 40 years unhappily married and regretting all of his life choices

And Girls Aloud.

I mean it might not be my personal list but nobody can deny that every one of these acts are some of the most influential British music acts ever. I mean it was obvious it was going to be a Beatles or Queen win from the start, I'm just pleased to see Spice Girls and Girls Aloud managed to make the top 30 didn't see that happening at all tbh.

The likes of All Saints and One Direction just didn't make a mark in the same way all these acts did, whether you like them or not (I'm looking at Oasis and REM).
