I got Sugababes and the last copy of Dannii Minogue's Neon Nights Remixed! I didn't queue, I just took my chances and arrived at 12pm and got very lucky.

They weren't stocking The Veronicas sadly, but I realised the Aus green pressing from 2019 is on sale for £25 with £9 shipping to the UK on the Warner Australia site, so I just ordered that instead.

Those were the only three I desperately wanted. I'd have got Oasis for £50 maybe but not £90, my local store had loads of copies of that left.

Also indeed I did not previously know there was a tunnel under Lana Del Rey

Was up at half 4. Got there about twenty minutes to 7 with 30 ahead of me in the queue and... Beautiful reissue, going to give it a spin in a second!

  • Yeah, Oasis was shockingly pricey. Luckily mine was bought for me as a present. I also got Air - Moon Safari mix and demos.

To be fair, a 4lp set would typically go for that sort of value even outside of RSD. Glad you got one Jester, hopefully it will be good!

I got up early, was there for about 8:15 and was 36th in line. Got let in fairly quickly as they let a bunch in at once. Found the Sugababes, they had a bunch of copies. They were supposed to have The Veronicas but after an hour there no dice

So I did this instead

I was awake before 5am(!), left the house at 6:10am and arrived to the queue at 7:20am. I was 91st in the queue! The store opened at 8am and I was served at 9:20am. All worth it though because I got everything I really wanted: Griff, Melanie C, Sugababes and Taylor Swift!

While in the queue and ticking off what I wanted on the sheet that was handed out, I did put a tick next to the Wicked soundtrack, just in case... but knowing it was highly unlikely that there'd be any left by the time it was my turn, and that was indeed the case. It seemed to me like it sold out within the first 30 customers (and this store had 15 copies to sell - more than quite a lot of other stores managed to obtain of it).

It was a fun experience overall though despite the early start. I was with @Yobnedor heart so it was great to meet up with him and be in the queue with a friend.

Oh I’ve only just seen that there is Moon Safari reimagined by Vegyn! I won’t be going anywhere but I’ll definitely try to get it online later if there’s any copies about

I attended RSD in person from 2017 to 2021 but have waited for the online stock for the past few. Each time I've been able to get everything I wanted from Banquet Records but this year Oasis and even Adam and the Ants were gone in seconds o well, my bank balance will thank me for the former miss lol

Glad I got Deep Dish and Sugababes at least x

Decided against Charli in the end due to the price and not loving the new artwork

Well I managed to get a copy of the Vegyn x Air album so I'm happy with that - although it doesn't appear to be selling out so I needn't have rushed!

I joined the queue at 11pm on Friday and I was the last person to get the Wicked vinyl (They had 10 copies and I was 12th - thankful to the person that didn’t want a copy!).

I also got Taylor, Dannii, Sam Fender & Shed Seven

…or maybe I was wrong as it’s now up for presale as a black vinyl edition for £64.99!

So it was a £25 mark up for the RSD version, pretty exploitative as I can’t see any reason why it should be that much more

National Album Day back on October 18th... and the theme this year? Well let's just say my wallet will be safe around that time 🙄

HMV yet to announce Vinyl Week, although they are teasing something being announced at 9am two weeks today on 2nd June. Not holding my breath given last year was truly "Dad faves only".

Oh Dido announced a 25th anniversary for No Angel out in Sept

A useless black but a nice limited red

Yeah that’s not the most inspiring list to be fair. Black Grape is a decent album but I’ve already got it and won’t be shelling out for a coloured variant
