Wow, I really had no idea it was that high for Gold :o How close is it to Queen?
Put no idea as feared saying something stupid and couldn't come to a concrete answer lol but between 2-6 million I was going over at one point. Nevermind.

Well I know for a fact that Kylie is 56, I though Bey was around 42/43 and I thought Gaga was 35/36, hence I was a few years out! At least I got a point though :)

I couldn't remember the name of the latest 1975 album so I was basing it on 'I Love It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful' or whatever it's called, even though I was pretty sure that wasn't their most recent :(

LOL I can't believe I got the Ed Sheeran one wrong. Is my answer based on stand alone singles then? It was a question in a pub quiz and I put 90 in that one as some wild guess and they said it was 47  I was SO convinced I had got it correct based off of that

I felt so bad for you because you seemed so confident but I've just checked the OCC and I think your pub quiz must have just been counting stand alone singles, sorry!

Around a million behind!

Cocky Ego Spice strikes once again  I wouldn't have felt bad for me, I would have laughed at me, you're obviously a much nicer person than me. :P

I was only so confident due to that quiz, I'm not really an Ed Sheeran fan, certainly not enough to follow his track records, give me a Spice Girls / solo Spice related one I'm getting it EVERY time

Q5) In what year did The Weeknd get his first charting single in the UK as lead artist?

2015

Another question where you had to get the correct answer to get any points. This one was a bit sneaky though because 'Earned It' charted at the very beginning of 2015 (the 10th January to be precise) so I can understand why a lot of people went for 2014.

That was the question I felt most confident on but can see why people would go for 2014.

I guess if anyone blocked out the existence of 'Earned It' and leapt straight to 'The Hills' or 'Can't Feel My Face' then that might've helped too

Yeah should've stuck with when I knew he charted with his solo hits but could've sworn he had a solo hit debut in either 2013 or 2014 too but it wasn't oops.

Q6) How many number 1 singles have there ever been in the UK?

1431

I put this question in thinking that there was no chance that anyone was going to get it - but congratulations to Mack. who managed to get it spot on. There were loads of other people who got very close to the correct answer so congrats to anyone who got any points in this question.

ah almost there for me, wasn't sure what numbering system you were going to use so I went with my own that I could remember 1425 being the right answer to for that as I recently updated this thread
I didn't know that at all so 1,500 isn't a bad stab all things considered.
All I was basing it off was that I knew the 1000th number one was in 2005 after 50-odd years of the charts. Pretty crazy to think we’re already nearly halfway to 2000!

Q7) Kings and Queens by Ava Max and Waking Up In Vegas by Katy Perry both peaked at the same chart position in the UK. What position was it?

In hindsight, I should have probably guessed that a lot of people would get this question correct, but it's helped give a lot of you some extra points!
