The inflated sales from Coldplay are definitely because of the Pre-Sale ticket codes and hype around the Wembley Stadium dates! When the dates were announced alongside the pre-order pre-sale codes when you purchased the album the Coldplay store pretty much sold out straight away of all the bundles and vinyls.

Amazing sales for them though incredible given the sales climate.

I think everyone knows how big they are but expected numbers similar or slightly lower to Music of the Spheres.

Yes this is exactly it!

Is that it with Coldplay or do they still have a lot of pre orders delayed due to issues if they do I guess they can potentially catch Taylor’s first week total
They better hope all 200,000 don’t ask for a refund, what is this crap they are releasing?! I listened out of curiosity and couldn’t believe how bad it was
Someone said the vinyls still need dispatched?

They were delayed as of Sunday, but I imagine they contributed to the Monday number in the end.

Yeah I found most of it pretty unlistenable, two or three tracks aside. It's hard to believe this is the same band who released the brilliant Rush Of Blood To The Head 22 years ago!

I think you're replying to the wrong post and in any case, I don't think that comment was meant to be taken literally lol

Yea, every artist releases a so-so album at some point but Moon Music is just next level bad.

But surely that shows their popularity - people were preordering so they got to see them live! I’ve never understood the Coldplay hate, they are one of our most successful acts and can still score hits when most acts from when they debuted are purely album acts if that!

Not true. If it's faulty you have a legal right to a refund. You can only know it's faulty by playing it!

Consumer Rights Act 2015 says otherwise :D

Coldplay hasn't done anything for me since Mylo Xyloto, with the exception of their song with Beyoncé.

I totally agree with the last part, but compared to MOTS, I think Moon Music is somehow decent.

Oh well, at least they gave us FLIFIL – that’s a good anthem

for me, their last great album was a Rush of blood... they already lost me as a fan with the pretentious X&Y

since then their albums are 1/2 good songs rest filler

except the last 3 albums are all filler

I think I’m exactly the same!

Many people disappointed with their last albums especially since “Mylo Xyloto (2011)”

Ok I respect that, but few undeniable song that they made since then.

1. Midnight (2014) /Ghost Stories/ - this song is masterpiece, no one could ever imagine Coldplay written this song. Sampled and Produced bh Jon Hopkins

2. Another’s Arms - Coldplay’s guitarist Jonny Buckland did excellent job on there

3. Adventure of Lifetime - One of the Best Coldplay song ever made. Even it’s too pop.

4. Arabesque - i think this song is No.1 song for me (Last 10 years)

5. Coloratura - 10 minute song. Longest Coldplay track ever. Reminds me Pink Floyd
