October 5, 2024Oct 5 A resounding victory and lead, congrats Leww, it's been such a long time coming and what a refreshing song and sound to win with! Would definitely not have called Jadakissnia, Fljótavík or Terra Avium in the top five - very well done to all - pop was definitely not the in thing this month but it's always nice to have a change of genres and styles doing well. Congrats to another top three (with higher points than the winner!) Taahino and thank you for your very smooth hosting and great concept, been a very enjoyable one to follow. Really love Cadelicia being in the top ten, it was my big discovery of the month because I knew (and almost confirmed myself) Sandénia's entry - shame to see that just miss out on the top 10 on a tie but I gave it 18 so couldn't have done any more for it. And it is nice to see Ben grab a top ten anyway. Oops, sorry Cor Lupus, I do still think that sounds like a much bigger song but I like it a lot myself so maybe was biased. Some good songs down the bottom again, Séyetana and I particularly don't understand why Kathaldazia didn't connect. I'm happy with 21st, I didn't really spot any vocal hype for it so was coming in expecting bottom ten, but it continues my nice run of consistency between 7 and 24 in recent times. It's a shame to miss the top 20 by a point, but I can't grumble at Spodic Empire being there instead, that is a blistering entry. And a big thank you to Freeze for the gold medal <3 and to all the other voters!

October 5, 2024Oct 5 Congrats Leww :wub: gave your entry 11 points so very much approve of that winner - my second favourite of the year so far after Fat Dog x The top 2 this month is the same country make up as BJSC 90 aka Fraunhofer Diffraction vs. HÆLOS month, the first time I got a silver medal *.* This finish is such a pleasant surprise! I think last contest my expectations were a bit too high for poor brave Sol y Santi so this month they lowered quite a bit. Achieving my joint best result of the year alongside the 2nd place for Sadness is incredible. Thank you so much to everyone who pointed TEMMIS :heart: Great to see Fljótavík, Terra Avium + Bøtanikkä in the top 10 too <3 on the other hand - Cumulonimbia, Kathaldazia, Neliönoir + Séyetana are much too low -_- Thanks Lindsey for a great hosting job :cheer:
October 5, 2024Oct 5 I shot myself in the foot in the absolute most direct way possible in the semi - I had Neliönoir on 5 points after my first listenthrough of the semi but then moved them up to 6 points after a second listen, and that 1 extra point knocked myself out of the final (would not have wanted to see Coco & Clair Clair missing out though and I 100% expected to DNQ anyway so I'm not mad, although it would have been kinda funny if I somehow qualified with only 29 points x) I was expecting a Sandénia win from my insider knowledge of the semi results so my prediction still being rubbish even with that extra knowledge :lol: Though I was at least right about the winner being one that didn't come top 5 in its semi, just got it the wrong way round that it'd be an alt song from the pop semi rather than a pop song from the alt semi :magic:
