If you think Buzzjack is harsh on Gracie... do NOT go to Twitter lmao. They are LETHAL towards her (at a level even I don't agree with!)

 

I think she's "fine". She's just not to my taste at all. Her music is very boring, basic and safe to me and I am not a fan of her voice (cursive (?) singing just isn't my thing. I find it incredibly irritating for the most part - a large part of why I can't get on board with Billie or Lorde - it's that same kind of vocal style to me) I DO think Twitter are over reacting to her for the most part, but it seems to actually be helping her atm. She's never been bigger!

 

All that said though 'Close To You' remains a bop (but again her enunciation is off putting sometimes - especially in the opening verse where it sounds like she's singing "shingle problem" instead of "single problem" )

My problem with her is how she literally impersonates different singers and their style on every song, it's so shameless.

I think Taste has it on lock this week, especially thanks to other services, but they're staying stable or growing hotter and taste has slowly dropped. The only thing that might stop one of them from #1 is if the internet is correct that a surprise drop will happen October 18th (they still haven't convinced me)

I don’t really think it’s a big deal though? M. Night Shyamalan’s latest movie is literally just a vehicle to promote his daughter’s music and she’s nowhere to be seen on any charts anywhere lol. I have literally never heard any Gracie Abrams song ever but if it’s catching on then that’s fair enough.
