Ughhhh. Is that a new thing because I swear he usually has the UK acts on?? 😭😭

Sort of? Since 2022, he just has a single series that runs from September to February. He used to have a series that ran from April to June but not anymore.

I do really love this, especially the live performance version. I don't think staging is that important when you have a great song and great vocals and it definitely didn't lack energy. I just feel a

The run of chart success to me felt like a perfect storm of luck and fortune in many ways. 2019's Arcade, 2020's Think About Things and 2022's Snap all went viral on TikTok. Måneskin had great success

Sadly, there’s nothing making me want to go back to this at all. I find it nice enough when it’s on but when I look at the Eurovision playlist, I never get the urge to actually put it on.

I think I feel the same about it.

I'm really enjoying this song. It's different for the UK in a positive way - this feels like the bravest the BBC has been in a while.

Remember Monday are clearly excellent vocalists and the BBC is making sure we know that in all of the promotion that they're doing! I just hope that they don't lose sight of the performance aspect which has to be memorable. I never get my hopes up and in many ways I'm not sure I care how well we do. If we send a good song performed well, I will be happy - and this has potential!

I’ve now listened to majority of the tracks (Israel, Azerbaijan and Georgia still to go… at some point) and I really think this stands out in such a positive way.

It seems to be a pretty bland year this year bar a couple of exceptions.

It's not the strongest year with songs but sometimes that changes when we see the actual performances but as it stands the UK is different to all the other songs which might be a good or bad thing for them.

As a song it's a decent song and isn't some cheaply put together song but needs good staging to help it.

I'm not loving it myself but can see why others would enjoy it.

US exposure somewhat due to their Jennifer Hudson & The Voice UK connection! D

Also, the HATE these women are getting is insane and so, SO forced.

The acoustic performance demonstrates they have the ability to knock it out of the park on the day.

Staging is likely to be more important for them than other acts. I personally think a lot of the hate isn't towards them but is towards the UK (same old story).

If all goes well I am thinking 100 points minimum from the jury, which will be enough to counter a much lower tally from the public

I'm hopeful it won't be another zero on the televote. As a minimum I'm sure it will make it into the Ireland and Australia votes.

Juries wouldn't usually snub such strong vocalists and a uniquely structured, theatrical song, so I agree that anything very low will be an injustice on that front.

I'm mildly optimistic for an ok points haul, but I guess it could still end up coming towards the bottom like 2016 when Joe and Jake got 62 points and were bottom three.

Really hope it’s not in the bottom 5 at least. I do think jury score will be decent but I think public quite low, we shall see

They need to have clever staging with this, especially when leading in to the chorus. Could do a Moldova ‘My Lucky Day’ if right!

I would say the execution of this entirely depends on the staging and I just don't see us having enough "edge" with the staging. I very much feel like it will be like the video with a couch and simplistic.

Staging has not been a strong point for us for a very long time, I can't remember the last "wow" staging / performance moment we had.

Last year Bambie Thug absolutely engrossed me in what I feel is a very average song because of the theatre and drama of the performance, I don't see us having a staging that will be able to have that effect on what is a simple, pleasant song.

I guess it's subjective but what Sam Ryder had really worked, in my opinion.

Doesn't need to be grand, but suitable for the song. I think ultimately people vote for the performance but the staging can help. I think it had the opposite effect last year.

Sam Ryder’s staging was awesome. Made it feel like a guest appearance from a star

I still quite liked Olly’s performance….

Olly's staging is the best from the UK since I stated following Eurovision. Shame his vocals aren't at the same level on the night. 😥

Yeah his vocals were ropey. Sadly I think that was always going to be the case as I’ve never heard him sing well live

I thought about Sam's staging as I wrote this and I stand by the statement of the staging not being "wow" but you're right, for the song it was clean and simple and incredibly effective to keep the viewers focused on the terrific vocal he was performing, whilst adding some brightness and allure. So I definitely think that was the best we have done in a long time for sure.
