I must admit i am slightly nervous for how Tension II will do this coming week and i feel it will Kylies first album to suffer a big fall on week 2 but am secretly hoping we get a surprise and it doesn't fall hugely. I also think its been one of the flattest release weeks for a Kylie album and the hype just isn't there nor is the promo so maybe there are some surprises coming to help cushion the album in the weeks ahead.

For now, where are you expecting the album to chart on Friday November 1st?

Praying for top 20!

Read a suggestion that the streaming figures are lower than expected because the collabs are credited to the main artist albums. Of course, there’s no extra royalties if two albums receive streaming points for the same song but any album will definitely drop fast without streams.

I'll say Top 20, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's worse.

Steps' Part 2 album went 2-21 in its first 2 weeks, so maybe this indicates what Kylie's album will do.

I'm not fussed about how Tension II performs with its chart run/sales tbh. Ultimately it's reached #1 as her landmark 10th #1 album, and that's what will go down in her chart history. Its existence contributes to extending the overall "Tension era" and having something to go alongside a tour announcement. For me, that's really job done from a commercial point of view. I won't mind if it's #143 in week 3 or if it takes ages to go Silver, because it's likely not something that will concern Kylie or BMG (BMG release albums that sell a fraction of what Kylie sells).

I don’t think week 2 will actually be that drastic, I think week 3+ is where it will plummet.

Wouldn’t be surprised with a 1-10-57 kinda run.

I think it will drop quite quickly, but with lack of new releases might stay T40 this week.
We need the Christmas cassette version next month :o .

I wish they had released the Hardbook CD like they done for every release so far!

I'm sure there will be a little Xmas treat for us to buy in the coming weeks........

Xmas Tension with 4 extra Christmas Tracks including Santa Baby and 3 others :)

Climbed back up to #4 on iTunes so a few sales at least for week , however small it’ll be needed.

Well its really like quiet a lot of us precited the wrong outcome for week and sadly things are looking a little worse than we feared.
It’s a shame they rushed to get all the CDs with signed prints rushed out to include in Fridays chart, they were not going to be caught so could have easily pushed those sales into week 2 (4 copies from me alone).

I actually posted something on the same lines last week when we knew early in the week the number 1 was safe, i was like they should hold back now to help week 2,

But it really doesn't matter, nobody is going to care in the long run whether it is #20 or #40 in its second week. It's sold the same amount and will make the same amount of money for Kylie and her team.

It's far more respectful to just get orders to fans as quickly as you can than to make people wait just to fabricate a chart position.

It only matters to chart followers - from that respect I would want to see it have a decent chart run, but you are right to the GP and statistics another #1 has been bagged, the same as half the country believe PP was a #1 smash based on ‘The Big Top 40’.
