November 17, 20241 yr 10 Girls Aloud - I'll Stand By You   playing Sarah's Version too!
November 17, 20241 yr It sounds so AI?? I hope they haven't used AI and "just" used vocoder or autotune or whatever... :\
November 17, 20241 yr Was this re-released then? Or physicals drop in tribute Sarah's Version was released on Friday as this year's Children In Need single, featuring Sarah solely on lead vocals using archive recordings.
November 17, 20241 yr It sounds so AI?? I hope they haven't used AI and "just" used vocoder or autotune or whatever... :\ It's not AI, it's using recordings from the vault. Doesn't sound particularly autotuned or anything either? Perhaps a little rougher because these vocals weren't chosen for the final cut by Xenomania back in the day but it sounds just like Sarah to me.
November 17, 20241 yr Was this re-released then? Or physicals drop in tribute No physicals so imagine it will end up 35+ region as I can’t imagine it’s picking up a lot on streaming.
November 17, 20241 yr So i think thick of it fell out of the top 20 right now, i don't think it'd improve on last week with so much above it
November 17, 20241 yr If Sarah's Version is combined with the original then it'll marginally help with the streaming situation at least, as the original will undoubtedly get some trickle streams regardless (but obviously not a particularly significant number).

It sounds so weird to me. (Glad it's seemingly not AI though...)
November 17, 20241 yr It might just be Mariah and Wham plus the top 5 from last week Forgot Chappell was hot to go to ACR. So either Tate or Linkin Park but not both Edited November 17, 20241 yr by EmailsICantChase
November 17, 20241 yr There's definitely some vocoder effect or robotic flourishes on the vocals, no? It sounds so weird to me. Not to my ears, Sarah sings it a little differently to the main Girls Aloud version we know but that's the only thing that jumped out as strange to me, simply because it's different (having heard it on tour a few times and the studio version a lot this weekend)
