I think IT girl and AOMD are joint 1st for me , Midnight cowboy second and lastly Fantasy.

 

All are 10/10 but I do listen to Fantasy a lot less.

 

 

 

It girl rose to 263k streams yesterday it did 3k more than tuesday which is good and it jumped from 40 to 34 on itunes uk

Yep, it must be a single. Seems it's following the same fate as Fantasy though, as Hot Hits are refusing to playlist this though so it's probably going to have the same fate

This whole is it isn’t it a promo or real single seems so ridiculous. It’s a song released prior to an album with a video, radio stations will playlist it regardless if they want to.

I don’t think Radio 1 specifically playlist anything that isn’t a single, unless it’s on album release week, where they occasionally playlist the whole album.

#1 + the cover of Pop Rising on Spotify (it has over 3.1M saves) It got added at #14 last week so that’s a nice jump

 

Cant see it, but hopefully Hot Hits follows as that’s the only way this will have a chance at doing something

In the grand scheme of things, I'm not sure it matters (in terms of chart fortunes) unless they decide to push it on Spotify and get it the playlisting it needs over there and on other streaming platforms. Although they didn't give 'Fantasy' the playlisting it needs and that was a single so...

 

JADE stayed with RCA, right? RCA are sooo shit when it comes to promoting where they need to! Although, I appreciate that it looks like they don't care whether anything is a top 40 hit or not for her for this era, letting her do her own thing and I think it's just more about establishing who she is as a solo artist at this point. I am still firmly in the "Album is coming in March" camp, right now. They know there is a demand there for her. I'm thinking pre-BRAT Charli levels of success atm.

 

EDIT: If this is a single then they can at least give us physical copies!!!!

Honestly I don't think it matters if Jade doesn't get chart hits (Obviously they would be amazing) but she's at a point in her career where she can build a loyal solo fanbase where she gets good streaming figures (IT Girl is 2M in a week) and can sell albums / sell out small tours etc...

 

If she was a new artist I guess she'd have more of a point to prove but as long as she's raking in the cash for RCA I genuinely don't think chart hits are essential.

 

The album I'm beyond confused with how can the album be out in March if she hasn't even confirmed the name? I thought physicals had to be ordered for pressing a good couple of months in advance?

SOOOO HAPPY!! I honestly didn’t think she would change her mind but happy she has!! Hoping Spotify can do their bit now!
