I hope MIKA's "Popular Song (feat. Ariana Grande)" gets a bit of a boost! Still can't believe that never charted. Although it was certified silver a couple years ago. Perhaps it'll get to a gold certification a bit quicker now? :)

Kendrick now has the top 2 on Apple plus #4, #7 and #10 from the top 10, and all songs are now in the top 40. I think his positions on Spotify today are better than where he was as of midnight last night on Apple so interested to see if he'll do better than that with the first full day on Spotify tomorrow.

 

There is a split between the top charting song from the album in the UK vs. the US, 'squabble up' has taken over at #1 over there, guessing it probably will do here as well at some point (although 'luther' maybe coming to overtake both from what I've heard re it being a more radio friendly song). The features are now credited on streaming services btw although don't see that greatly increasing interest in the album as they're mostly fairly underground artists, minus the two SZA collabs and Roddy Ricch.

 

Just found out not too long ago that the Cynthia/Ariana version of 'Defying Gravity' is nearly 8 minutes long...! How novel for Ariana coming to have a hit that's about 4 times as long as her average single of late :kink:

Tbf streaming does tend to favour shorter songs , be curious if the length hinders DG in the long run

 

Squabble up by kendrick was teased in the not like us video back in July so there's a lot of hype for it I think, should be the album's highest charting track by Friday
