Physicals ship next week right? I think it’ll manage maybe top 30 this week, climb top 10 next week with physicals and fall from there. That is, if it’s treated as a separate track and not combined with the original one
This is absolutely impossible to predict until we know how the OCC are going to handle it in regards to combining and/or resetting it.
On Spotify, I see that it's under "Band Aid" and not "Band Aid 40", so I could see it getting combined with the original.

This

Without being combined, top 100

Combined, top 10

Very much depends on whether it is combined.

But it definitely won't be #1 by the time actual Christmas rolls around, will be a one week wonder boost.

The question is, what do you mean by first week? This week or next week? I voted based on this week as its release date was yesterday.

So far it is not showing on Apple, but the Band Aid 30 version from the Band Aid 40 EP is showing, but has not climbed since it debuted. Possibly some kind of error.

Top 10 next week and then plummet. Charity singles belong to the past.

Agree with this. I see no enthusiasm for it

it all depends on getting a reset or not

with a reset + good single sales they can get an easy #1

Exactly this, can't make an informed prediction until we know what the OCC are going to do.

In the equivalent weeks last year, had the original Band Aid been reset, it would have done c. 22k this week, quickly rising to c. 50k per week up to and including the Christmas #1 week, and c. 90k the following week including streams from Christmas Day itself. Same again this year and it can take #1 by adding in little more than 10k sales of the new version in any of those weeks bar this one.

#45 in the official singles update. The ultimate mix on Spotify has only just gone over 50k streams.

Not sure whether they should combine or not, but no brainer for OCC to reset to SCR either way.

Don't understand what they're playing at with the release date. Why release to radio and Spotify on a Monday, do all the press and then not release the download and physicals till Friday Makes no sense.

Oh, except the 25th was the actual 40th anniversary to be fair. But I fear the gap might affect sales, especially as Ladbaby has shown, it's getting harder to get people out of the habit of downloading to do it.

Anyone paying £4.99 for the CD single then or £19.99 for the vinyl? No.3 on Amazon's best sellers.
