Welcome Kylie fans to the GRAND FINALE of the 'Tension' survivor polls & months of voting we are finally down to our final 2, which means that finishing in 3rd place with a whopping 19 votes is Hold On To Now, released in October 2023 as the album's 3rd and final single. This was one of the first songs written for the album and was originally slated to be released as the lead single, before 'PP' came along. The song was created from a voice note Kylie sent to Biff Stannard in 2021 and Kylie herself has stated that this song is her favourite from the album. A superb single choice that deserved so much more than it got (we should have a music video at the very least). A cracking electro/pop anthem that stands as one of her very best compositions in recent years with its euphoric synths, angelic vocals and fantastic beats that ramps up during the second half of the song.

Padam Padam is the best Kylie song for many years. I never ever get fed up with listening to it.

Voted Tension only because Padam Padam was so innovative and unexpected.

 

Both are top tier for me.

I voted PP...The final 3 are my favorite 3 on the album, but I put HOTN and Tension 1st and 2nd

From crossover appeal padam padam was perfect for kylie and gave her such a great boost success wise, tension was also great for catching the eye of a casual who may not usually listen to her, hold on to now while my own fave wouldn't bring in new fans but is such a great song even though they screwed it up so badly as a single but all 3 singles show kylie clearly still has it in her as an artist to keep coming up with the goods.

Finally voted - went with PP for the win, it was (and still is) such a moment and will be long remembered.

 

I’m pleased Kylie is showing ‘Tension’ love at her shows and I think it’ll be another track that she keeps in her live performances.

Padam padam will firmly have a place in all her future live shows and I hope tension manages to stay in aswell but I can see it possibly been used as an intro in a medley further down the road.

Im not overly surprised by the result and its an understandable one considering what a huge moment it was for Kylie.

Now if only it could happen again.
