It's always been January, April, July, October traditionally, but yes the last one was delayed because lots of other contests were happening in October just gone.

Is BJSC 171 now in January? (when we confirm)

Wow at Kluminican Republic semi result, it really needed the fans of Semi 1 to kick it into life.

 

Summericia qualifying by a point was not what I expected at all, that always sounded like a big melodic rock anthem to me.

Wow semi 2 was incredibly close. There were two different nations whose votes, if either had been taken out individually, would have lifted me from 24th to 20th, despite having a point taken away from one of them!

knocked myself out oops, a couple of points less to Eastovka and swapping Hinterlandia and Danaeviia around and I might have snuck through instead, not that the latter would have happened and probably not the former either, 'And The Parasite Speaks' not qualifying is still an awful result.

 

Summericia awfully close to not qualifying with Beyond The Black oh dear, though they missed my votes in the end.

Oops tbh I never do well with rock most of the time so should be expected I guess.

Yes, the semis really didn't predict the result at all although they were quite genre-split and Kathaldazia was one of those I thought could cross over well (Ajanaeda as well).

 

Thank you for partaking and for the kind words everyone <3 I'm annoyed with myself I made errors in the votes reveal, but pleased you liked my wacky idea at the end as I at least found a way to make a 31 point lead fairly unpredictable until the end x (Kathaldazia were leading all the way through albeit narrowly until the last day, when they stormed ahead).

 

I'm very pleased with the winner, it's a real earworm and makes a great last few months for winners. I did grow to like most of the songs here and particularly pleasing to see Danaeviia and Macromia in the top 10, if only the former wasn't at the expense of Trifoski </3 Utopia and Rolloland are way too low as well

 

As for my own position...I mean if I was gonna flop, I wanted to epically flop (as it was looking for most of the voting) and instead I get a fairly respectable score and not even a unique position in the bottom 5? -_- Come now guys x It's cool though, it's not exactly going to be a Terra classic and I'd resigned myself to not being that competitive, pleased some of you were charmed by it anyway and I'll be back to being competitive next month x

Apols for the delay in posting but here's the full EOY chart list! (With no tension at all for the winner in the end, :clap: to Aeroche being back on top again by a dominant 203 point margin, their 8th time as EOY champions following 6 in a row in 2013-2018 and then 2022).

 

Making moves from the last update, Bøtanikkä leapfrogged Hendinia to grab the silver medal for the year, matching their peak from 2021, but Hendinia nonetheless finish in the top 3 for a fifth year in a row (2-3-3-2-3). Danæviia held onto 4th but FSR Rontvia's DNQ unfortunately cost them dearly as the table was still close enough at this late stage for that to plunge them from 5th down to 11th </3 Kathaldazia's win saw them steal the vacant top 5 slot, jumping ahead of Trifoski who stayed 6th. Kluminican Republic took FSR Rontvia's slot in the top 10, climbing all the way from 11th to 7th, leaving Taahino, POPHub and Greenfroze to all hold their positions in 8th through 10th.

 

I knew my DNQ was dooming me to miss the top 30 but oops at me falling down as far as 37th, though I can at least be proud of the fact that I am the benchmark for quadruple figure point totals x

Awww, I had a feeling that was coming. But those countries that qualified in all 10 contests deserve it for consistency (and Klum for banger after banger).
