Having said that, it could maybe do with a text version of the Britpop results - for example "Stereophonics" doesn't come up in a Ctrl+F search of the page.

I have been meaning to get round to that. It would look more neat and tidy without Dandy's big scoreboard for that contest.

As a host myself, I’ve missed that one as well but also I wasn’t really paying too much attention, I was mostly copy/paste-ing the list.

Since I've already shared the first veto, I will so do the same for the other 4 (obviously it's all anonymous):

 

Björk - Jóga was entered to BJSC9, finished 25th.

 

The Corrs - I Never Loved You Anyway was entered to a BJSC spin-off (UK Chart Near Misses) in 2015, finished 21st.

 

Goldfinger - Superman was entered to the Pop Forum Song Contest, retro edition, finished 18th.

 

Paula Cole - Where Have All The Cowboys Gone for being too well known. It was played a lot on the radio, reached a chart position of number 15 in the UK and has more than 30 million Spotify streams.

I have no memory of sending that Corrs song to a BJSC spin-off but seems I did. It’s a classic anyway <3 (it wasn’t me trying to send it again)

 

I adore the Paula Cole song, one of my all-time favourites but a fair veto as it was a big-ish chart hit and a massive airplay hit. Such a good track.

I remember first hearing 'Jóga' in the relevant BJSC Re:LOADED contest (re-runs of the early editions) before eventually listening through all of her albums.

Are we just not allowing any songs that have appeared in previous song contests in this now then? A couple of those vetoes seem a little harsh! (Obviously do agree with not allowing songs that were entered to previous editions of this contest specifically but don't think there's any harm letting in songs that have been in other contests before especially if they didn't do that well the first time and/or were a long time ago) ((although flashbacks to the time Colm accidentally recycled my 4th placed Club Bizarre entry from Nils Frahm for a BJSC spinoff and came 2nd with it lol))

 

I know the Paula Cole song very well from being on a playlist my mum made that she used to put on all the time so a very nostalgic song for me, surprised it only charted at #15. (and likewise heard 'Jóga' from BJSC Re:LOADED, also a good song x)

To whoever sent that song by The Corrs it seems that they possibly wouldn't have known it was entered as it's not in the thread of songs from the BuzzJack contest. I certainly would not have known as I wasn't active in 2015.
