December 14, 20241 yr Who knows how my brain works, I used to take a copy of the R1 playlist each week and do a personal chart so it’s easily done I guess! 🤔
December 14, 20241 yr Forgot to say last week but I find it unusual how they're supporting ROLE MODEL at this stage! It's his second album (and a series of EPs came before that too), and the second single from said album which came out almost six months ago. Curious, but he's talented and I'm pleased to see it, I just wish it happened during (what I believe is) his superior debut era!

December 20, 20241 yr Most of the Christmas and New Year period will be anthems shows and they'll probably up the amount of Christmas songs over the weekend and early next week to Christmas so there's no real need to update it really.
December 20, 20241 yr Author But 4 weeks is a really long time for the playlist to be frozen. Last year it was frozen for 3 weeks and the year before that 2 weeks. I was hoping there'd be a new update on the 3rd Jan rather than the 10th!
December 21, 20241 yr I will be bored to death of everything on there by the 9th Jan, here's hoping for a huge overhaul on the 10th, there's already tonnes of deadwood! 3 weeks was a long time to begin with. Sympathy Is A Knife, That's So True and I Only Smoke When I Drink feel as old AF as it is!
December 21, 20241 yr There will be reprieve from these tracks though as you won't hear them at all between 25th (maybe even the 24th) and 1st Jan due to various Christmas and Anthems shows. It would've made sense to update on the 3rd but it's still technically the Christmas break then, maybe a refresh on the 6th for 5 days would've worked better.
