One More Sleep's chart stats sadden me.

It's peaked lower every year since 2018.

It deserves so much more!!

This!! As a Leona stan it’s always nice to know she can always get a top 40 peak each December!

It’s still somewhat of a classic in the UK though and definitely gets recognition here. It always does pretty strong on UK Apple Music too we just need that level of support on Spotify.

I think this is an exaggeration but it's probably no surprise - people wrapping presents, decorating their houses, cooking ahead of the big day, and they'll ask Alexa to play Christmas music while they do it.

I agree that Amazon's reported streams aren't dodgy or suspicious, it's certainly curious but when you consider that their exclusives benefit largely from being on SCR in a market swamped by songs on ACR, their placings seem less "suspicious".

Has Wham ever had that big of a lead over the rest of the Christmas canon before? Quite insane how it just keeps on getting even more popular each year seemingly
I can see a campaign coming along next year to stop Wham! getting Christmas number 1 for a third year in a row

Still 375 units down on last year's corresponing update, 39,669 last year, 39,294 this year.

I feel like it's just a little too close to call still with Buble/Sabrina. Buble right now is basically where Sabrina was last week, the difference right now is Sabrina gaining 488 units week over week. I could see Buble have a better end to the week than last week and sabrina having the same as she did last week and buble take it. I hope Sabrina finishes strong though lol

Sabrina going back to #1 would be pretty impressive but I do think post Christmas clear out she’d likely get there anyways so I wouldn’t be mad if Buble got it here.

Those sales at the top however though! Really miss the days of q4 attracting huge sales!

SZA is dropping an album on Friday that I think will be combined with her SOS album still in the top 40, but it'll be a full length album. Week 2 last time she did 11k and I think has only gotten bigger so she might take post christmas clearout week, and by that point other albums might start to come out to compete in the new year.

Suppose it depends how many physicals Sabrina has yet to have added - Bublé's total will be almost entirely streams which, with the missing days of streaming data to be added, might give him the advantage.

Wham!'s will have included a lot more pure sales than usual due to the anniversary, but even without them it appears the gap is getting wider. I thought both Wham! and Mariah could do over 100k next week - it's looking a lot surer for the former than the latter right now.

Speaking of next week, I think Gracie will drop out of the Top 10 despite staying on SCR, but could scupper the chances of 'Feliz Navidad' going Top 20 (as I'm fairly sure it won't hold this week).
