Kamaljit Singh Jyoti, known as Jay Sean, featured on 10 Top 40 hits over 2003-2010. This was his first as a solo artist - he had previously featured on a Rishi Rich project hit but here the credits were reversed. It reached #6 in June 2004.

I’m going for Pharrell and Gwen now. I do like the gritty production but it’s a little repetitive and lacking in development I think.

Pharrell and Gwen, it doesn’t go anywhere interesting.

 

Great result for A1 to get this far, I’ve always viewed it as a really strong British boyband song, especially the way it reuses the intro as slightly more dramatic middle eight.

The first three left are much of a muchness - switched to Pharrell / Gwen as it's perhaps the least memorable.
