What current non-Christmas music do you think could get a second wind on the other side of the New Year and go on to achieve a new chart peak?

Here's some examples I expect to do quite well;

Sam Fender – People Watching {current peak: #4}

Morgan Wallen – Love Somebody {current peak: #40}

Lola Young – Messy {current peak: #7}

PAWSA & Adventures Of Stevie V – Dirty Cash {current peak: #44}

Any others you think will do well in January? :thinking:

Messy's the obvious one, it's going top 3 for sure.

Also probably The Days (unfortunately), that should make the top 10.

I think Lola's other hit with Tyler, the Creator (Like Him) will go on to get a new peak at this rate too!

People Watching is probably only getting back up that high when its physicals and video drop. Bed Chem also has a video coming, will be interesting to see if that has any effect.

Stuff like PUSH 2 START (Tyla), Indigo (Sam Barber featuring Avery Anna) and Peggy (Ceechynaa) feel well positioned to be hits in the new year.

I think I read that Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be performing live on BBC for New Years Eve countdown, so maybe a chance of Freedom Of The Night being performed and reaching a new peak as its not yet charted, albeit I realise it's probably a stretch to ask.

If "I Only Smoke When I Drink" is still around it may be on for top 40. Wonder if Beabadoobee can get in with "The Perfect Pair" if its viral spurt hasn't died away

Bed chem also has physicals coming. I like the odds for a 1 week jump into the top 5 if those both happen same week

I hope juno gets some more notice from the general public, bed chem has had its moment, I want juno to go top 10.

I could see Lola going on to have 2 simultaneous top 10s, and hopefully sza gets a handful (ideally 30 for 30 and iamspamspamamiboth smash)

I’d anticipate defying gravity could also go top 5, I’d predict the first week to be Gracie, Lola, apt, sailor song, timeless

I don't think any of the songs featured in it have charted yet, but I do wonder if Robbie Williams will get a second wind similar to how Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Natasha Bedingfield did at the start of this year with his new Better Man biopic now out in cinemas. It's had really good reviews already and I'm planning on seeing it myself come January.

There is one song off it out already called "Forbidden Road", although a lot of people who've seen the film have said "She's The One" and "Rock DJ" feature in two key scenes so they might be more likely to see a return?

rooting for Sam Barber-Indigo

Good heavens, I could really do without a 'Rock DJ' resurgence :drama:

Unless the film somehow takes off on TikTok I doubt any Robbie songs will have a resurgence

could Guetta & Ava Max have a January hit with their cover of Forever Young?

I see it's #1 this week in some EU countries...

Doubtful, I think it would’ve charted already if it was ever going to be a big hit
