I was wondering if anyone would be interested in looking at this (or maybe it’s just me)? In the streaming era the EOY chart has appeared heavily biased towards songs released/peaking in the first ha

Just had a go at a full top 40, week 14 2024 to week 13 2025. You're pretty much bang on with your sales estimates, just had to change Hot To Go (it would've done a few sales in 2023 so its total woul

I'd expect all the current top 4 to exceed 1.3 million, and the current 5-8 to exceed 1.1 million, so I'm thinking #5 is the most likely finish for 'Golden', but all depends on how well its numbers hold up.

Here’s another attempt at estimating a rolling chart for the 12 months ending Q3.

Again, any help with more accurate figures is always welcome. I know you’ve very kindly helped me with the previous ones @gasman449, so if you’ve got the time or inclination to have a look at my numbers again I would be very grateful!😌

Some things I’ve noticed:-

Alex is now miles ahead as expected and I presume will only go further ahead by the end of 2025?

Below that it is close, though I suspect I might have overestimated Pink Pony Club’s total again due to being unsure of its earliest sales figures.

Overall the chart maybe feels a little fresher than the last one? The Demon Hunters soundtrack should change things up even more very soon.

Any thoughts?

I'd have expected 'APT.' ahead of 'Pink Pony Club', as it's still ahead for 2025 to date and all its weeks in the Top 5 before Christmas would have more than made up for it having no sales until midway through October?

Yes you’re right of course, as I mentioned in the commentary above, PPC is the one I keep overestimating! I’ve never been sure of its ‘trickle’ sales pre 24 and early 24 to be able to remove them from its total… if that makes any sense!🤷‍♂️

The Official biggest songs of 2025 so far

Alex Warren continues to be the frontrunner for the UK’s biggest song of 2025 so far with Ordinary, the Official Charts Company can confirm.

Posted an official top 40 list if anyone's interested see how accurate you are (no sales unfortunately)

Lmao at the OCC reporting Tyga's 'Taste' at #15 instead of Sabrina and Travis Scott's 'Stargazing' instead of Myles Smith at #20 lol💀

2018 hip hop revival in full swing this year!

If I had a penny for every 2025 hit that shared a titular of a 2018 hip-hop track by a rapper whom is a generally awful person, names begins with the letter t and was romantically involved with Kylie Jenner.

I would have two pennies, which isn’t a lot but it’s odd that it happened twice.

Should have Man I Need, Daisies and Another Love in this week with Juno, Greedy and Everybody Wants To Rule The World out. Yet again Feel Good Inc may enter instead of Daisies (and my estimate for Victory Lap is the same as Daisies currently but I trust Julian's judgement more than my own 😁)

We also got a new certification from KDH this week. Check the Silver certs:

Its a shame its on the compilation chart be interesting to see how it finishes the year overall in terms of albums

Actually I haven’t allowed for the first couple of days for “Victory Lap” before its first proper week. I have 339k without that so with it we might be similar.

I could still see both that and “Daisies” just missing this time.

TFF just clinging on then! Should finally get Victory Lap in next week with Dirty Cash dropping out for sure.

No New Peak for Mystical Magical? Would have had it climbing above Family Matters and Revolving door to #60 this week.

Golden hit a stumbling block now it be a slow climb the rest of the way
