Welcome to Round 4 of Kylie Minogue's 'Tension II' survivor polls & the 3rd song to be voted and falling short of a top 10 placement is Dance Alone which gained 7 votes and features Australian singer songwriter Sia. Released in February 2024 as the 2nd single from Sia's 10th studio album Reasonable Woman & would later feature on Kylie's 17th studio album 'Tension II' as one of the 4 collaborations featured on there. Sia & Kylie had previously collaborated back in 2014 on Kylie's 12th album 'Kiss Me Once' where Sia served as executive producer and co-wrote 2 tracks ('Kiss Me Once' & 'Sexercise'). Both of which were far better than this forgettable little number (much like Sia's comeback album). Sia's vocals doesn't quite match the energy of the song, while Kylie sounds decent, but even she sounds a bit bored on this rather basic number that feels more like a bonus track than an actual single & both artists could do far better than this.

As the for other results 'Shoulda Left Ya' wasn't far behind with 5 votes, while 'Diamonds' gained votes for the first time with 3, then 'Lights Camera Action', 'Taboo', 'Someone For Me' & 'Edge of Saturday Night' each gained 1 vote each.

I voted Diamonds and Hello.

I listen to Hello more than some other tracks remaining, but it is inescapably similar to Padam. If they’d chosen a different sound to the clap machine, they’d have got away with it.
