Extremely odd First Look with no Fontaines DC (have the made a mistake?) and Oasis No1.

Fontaines must be doing pretty bad on Amazon. I bet it's at 21

Benson need go back acr soon possible

  • Album sales doing amazing this year whereas singles are falling off a cliff

  • Official Chart Update   Singles (Top 100)   01 Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us (12,654) 02 Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club (12,086) 03 Lady Gaga - Abracadabra (9,091) 04 Benson Boone - Beautiful

Never even realised people were mass buying 'Whatever'. I assume it will drop quickly due to the streaming effect.

Fontaines D.C. were a lot higher on Spotify than they were on Apple and I presume they were a lot lower on Amazon too, not too surprised at them not being top 20 at this stage. Hopefully they can still get top 40 for the week although the big second day drop on Spotify isn't too encouraging oop.

Would be cool if 'Whatever' can hang onto a top 40 entry for the week too, first time one of these vinyl reissues has put a song at #1 on First Look I believe? Had no idea it was a thing so a surprise there but why not x

Hope the Selena/benny/Gracie song will drop a lot by the end of the week, it is garbagio.

Impressive as it’s around £16-17 for the 7” vinyl.

Probably hasn’t sold that many the numbers are just going to be incredibly low this week

Sure Whatever has sold quite a lot

Oasis fans are insane and buy anything

Its a very pretty vinyl and was tempting

But 16 £ plus shippping

Its also not the original ep tracklist of 4 tracks

Its only 2

So paying more than 20 pounds for a 2-track single is excessive

Didn’t Supersonic almost make top 40 last year on its physical re-release

yes Supersonic made it to #42

just went and checked and Supersonic sold 11,559 copies at #42

6,250 vynils, 1,200 CD singles and rest from streams I guess, so ca. 4K

Where was 'Supersonic' on the first look, just for reference?

It was at 6. I'd assume Whatever has a better chance of hanging onto the top 40

I feel like you say this about anyone who sells a lot of physicals in a week. I don't think Oasis fans are as purchase-happy as fans of Taylor or some of the other big pop girls!

Oasis fans are truly insane, of course Taylor fans are even more insane, nobody beats them :D

if Supersonic did 6-41

on paper Whatever should remain top 40

It’ll probably do the roughly the same sales and finish roughly on the same place. This is the lowest week at the top of the charts you’ll probably get all year so it’s difficult to get 1 on first look with physicals

Well I doubt whatever has sold album lot when it's only 500 sales ahead on first update, most songs atm are barely 10k sales by Mondays update if they are number 1

Depends on how many they released, they're limited editions.

Supersonic was limited to 6,411 vinyls

no one knows about Whatever yet

anyway it's an amazing achievement for Oasis, why are people trying to make it look like it's not much lol

it's not like Lola Young who sold 2 vinyls the other day lol

It’s very impressive that Oasis can sell 10k or however many vinyls of an old song at the drop of a hat. But 10k at the moment is not quite sufficient for a singles chart Top 40 placing. Of course given “Whatever” must have decent year round streams, those halved for ACR will help somewhat.
Surely a band selling out a stadium tour in minutes with ridiculous prices , literally breaking ticket master and the internet persay selling 10k of a single is impressive
"Whatever" being a standalone single and not on any of their studio albums likely helps its case too.
