An odd one cos the HMV listing has it down as the 7th when it shows up on Google Search, but the 30th like you say when you enter the website.

There's no proof this won't climb though, and well having top 3 hits still 15 years into a career isn't a mean feat

It has, but we're going back 2 years since that last happened. It's probably even harder now to debut at #1.

Yeah, it is getting much harder even for established artists, to debut high, as you need to factor in time to go viral on TikTok now.

Seven of 12 No.1 singles in 2021 debuted at No.1, including four from Ed. Two of the other five debuted in the top three and then quickly rose to the top.

Last year we had five No.1 debuts (Taylor lead was a given whatever she put out, Sabrina was riding high after two mega smashes just before, Guess was coming off Brat summer hype, so these had a good reason to instantly debut high) but already this year is showing signs of fewer, with none so far.

Looks like Azizam is set to debut at #3 (or #2 if it’s lucky).

From 15 weeks at No.1 to barely making the Top 10.

But Ed is a flop because he is "only" debuting Top 3. 🙄

Debuted at #3 in the UK with 35,988 units.

Ed's site is now saying physicals are out 2nd May

He remains very static at #3. I'll be interested to see if this is the song's absolute peak.
