Hendinia semi result was crazy, only a few points from being out! That would have been a major injustice - I did find the Semi 2 results a surprise overall but I guess the two non-voters played a part.

OK I've now re-energised... first to say I'm also impressed with Cody's mastery of hosting on the new site - the loss of BBCode etc. makes this kind of thing much more difficult, totally understand the late finish and wanted to stay up as long as possible to see the final result - brilliant job getting it over the line and I enjoyed the theme! (albeit being a Defender meant a double 2nd place finish 😑)

Just noticed some minor changes to the scoreboard - my 6 from Skall is missing, while Looklylion, Bøtanikkä and POPHub seem to be 1 point too low - doesn't affect any final standings, though it does mean I was 'only' 35 points behind - two non-votes could have swung it 😄

Anyway, it's wonderful to be back in the top 10 even, after some agonising near-misses last year - I never would have thought my entry would resonate with so many voters - I'd have sent it sooner if I had, as I charted it nearly a year ago! My other top 10s finished 3rd & 4th, so I don't seem to be able to do things by halves 😄 but this one had a lot more hype from the outset which was something else! As I said early in the thread I really didn't see myself winning, I didn't think I'd get enough really high scores, and 1 gold and 2 silvers is fantastic although that's rarely enough to win, so I didn't let myself get carried away - but a drop-off in the last quarter or so of the reveal is becoming quite familiar (I think I was actually leading as late as with 11 votes left, but got just 10 points from them) so clearly I still need to work at getting those pesky late voters onside! But thank you again all those who sent some points the way of GusGus - I'm absolutely delighted with 2nd place, and in the same week as my first podium in Club Bizarre, my highest finish in BJSC too (MRD still has my highest points total and ACRAZE still has my most votes, a neat trilogy!)

And to share the top 3 with my 18 and 15 pointers, and Jade & Bré completing the top 5 with songs from my votes too - it doesn't get much better than that! I did think an underpredicted nation could do well, I didn't call it might be Persephonia, excellent. As for the semis, a second win wow, but THAT score, from 21 voters 😮 (more than the number of qualifiers!) And not only did I lose half my votes, but 2 of the other 5 wouldn't have got through without my vote - glad to have returned the favour to Terra Avium after last month, but thank goodness they both fared better in the final. But best of all, finishing 2nd in the final to a long-awaited first win for Klum Rep is pretty much the dream outcome, congrats again Patrick, very well-deserved! I will try to be a good citizen hoping for an even number of entrants in BJSC 173 🤞 and look forward to you hosting it!

I'll be doing my usual double check of the whole scoreboard when I get home (sorry for being tardy, I was far too tired last night) but thanks Jim for saving me some effort identifying that

I voted for all the top 5, one of which was my silver medal, so I'm very pleased with that top 10, and good to see my 18 made the top 20, that slow build was everything x I would've liked Singerpurear a bit higher though, my favourite entry from them in a long time.

I will take 21st considering it was looking like lower at one point, the mention of top 10 in Predictions did get my hopes up but looking at the semi results, I was on the lucky side this time so that's a relief! very pleased with the 12th place for Danæviia too, particularly as we didn't have as high expectations for this as Schrotthagen last month which ended up only one position higher. our top 10 hit in 2025 will come at some point if we stay consistent!

Right sorry for taking forever but I've double checked the scoreboard now and there are a few small position changes - @Cody Buckley if you want to update the spreadsheet, as Jim pointed out Skall's votes are a little wonky in there (Bøtanikkä, Lookylion and POPHub need to be bumped up a point each to 9, 8 and 7 respectively and Bronzil have 6 points from them) which doesn't affect any positions, but also Jupiterdonia's 5 should be to Cumulonimbia rather than Pestolia which does cause a few swaps in the lower half of the scoreboard:
