CHART BATTLE REWIND

Travelling back to 2009 now for chart battle #3, when reigning X Factor champ Alexandra went head-to-head with the then-chart heavyweight Robbie Williams. 'Bad Boys' was Alexandra's first proper single, heavily inspired by the RedOne electropop craze of the time, while 'Bodies' was Robbie's first new release since his divisive Rudebox album three years before. Alexandra won the battle by quite a clear margin in the end and gained her second #1 in the space of 10 months while Robbie would have to wait a few more years to top the chart again.

Robbie. I think I only liked 'Bad Boys' for like a couple of weeks oops.

Alexandra with considerable ease, although 'Bodies' is still a really good song!

Not a massive fan of either song but prefer bad boys.

“Bodies” by a mile! Love the drama of it.

Bodies for me, despite peaking at No.2 it's quite overlooked in Robbie's catalogue, it's a great track.

Both are great tracks but Bad Boys brings back the memories better so that's my vote.

Robbie easily - I actually like 'Bodies' more now than I did at the time!

Much prefer Bodies. X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will probably be a flash in the pan and I bet her album doesnt do as well.

It would be 'Bodies' just for me.

I actually love both of these songs, but for me 'Bad Boys' takes it by a whisker.

I'd say Robbie for this.
