Weirdly I became aware of the OG 'Strings of Life' just this week as a podcast I've been catching up on ('the 2000s chart show' that goes through the U.K. top 40 this week 20 years ago) was chatting about the 2005 vocal version, then the host spoke of their love of the original and played a clip. Good to hear that in full for the first time through this contest. The closing track from Starchaser also sounded familiar, probably from being a top 40 hit.

I had kind of low expectations for this theme as I didn't love the previous house-focused edition (albeit that being narrower in scope) so pleasantly surprised at the general quality across the board here.

Great... If this was an edition of BJSC then I'd definitely be thinking there is a track here that will run away with it, but I'm not sure whether the voting demographics will be the same here
