I don't really see how the numbers stacked up for it to finish so much higher than Tommy Cash but I'm glad they did.Must be the first German language top 40 in ages (is there something more recent than Schnappi in 2005?). It would be the chart show we don't hear, the nation tuning into Espresso Macchiato at 40 (as they always seem to play 40) would be quite funny.Great for Remember Monday too, much bigger than Dizzy in the end.

May 23, 20251 yr Nice to see 3 Eurovision entries in the top 40 again and 'Baller' being the highest charting excluding the UK entry is such a welcome surprise - I guess it does perhaps sound the most like a song that would be a chart hit anyway outside of the context of Eurovision so in that sense it's not a shock but with it being a foreign language song that finished in the lower half of the leaderboard I still wouldn't have called the UK audience giving it this much attention. Was my 4th favourite song on the night but it's the one that's stuck with me the most as an earworm so I might be tempted to update it to being my 2nd or 3rd fave of the year now (although nothing is touching 'Tavo Akys' x). Boo hiss at it missing out on a potential chart show play because of Big Weekend etc. although after they skipped playing 'Europapa' last year I wouldn't take it as a given that it would have got one anyway xI don't really care for the other two as songs, but I'm happy to see interest in the UK entry ticking upwards from last year, and I'm very here for the concept of TOMM¥ €A$H having a UK top 40 hit even if it's not his best work x
