The end of Round 4 saw the departure of our first Spice (second if you consider poor Victoria never made the list... justice for out of your mind!). Mel B see's her only #1 'I want you back' leave the competition.

I want you back was the first solo Spice single after Mel was invited by Missy to collaborate with her. Obviously Mel jumped at the opportunity and released a funky track which sounded nothing like Spice Girls, very much a style that seemed to suit Mel to the ground. It went in at #1 when they were doing their "Back In Britain" stadium dates, Mel must truly have felt on top of the world at that point! The single was certified silver with sales at around 230,000 copies and became the first of 5 top 20 hits for Mel in a very short solo music career. Such a shame when these beginnings showed such promise.

Mi Chico Latino. Never liked it and her Spanish sounds like any Karen going to Magaluf for a hen do who learned a couple of sentences on Duo Lingo (a scourge of an app, bast*rdising languages for years now!)

Truly awful. Sad that It's Raining Men and I Want You Back are out. Those are classic songs!
