i do rly wish they would do proper eliminations post merge up to a top 4 :/ it all feels so rushed once the brackets are over

It looks like it could well be just two lots of 6 queens, I would imagine there are episodes anyway though to make up for the lost bracket.

Perhaps the season would be shorter then again like AS2-5

With that cast it can be one episode and just crown Lux💜

With this season going currently, I’m kinda over the brackets and how it doesn’t really allow many people to really shine, so a little bit “eh” to see it happening again. It’s been four years since we just played it… normally, I feel like they could get a good enough cast for that now?

Also a notable lack of older seasons in that list that I usually look forward to seeing.

I agree that the bracket system has already lost its spark. I find it only really benefits the queens that would normally be out in the first couple eps anyway, and queens like Tina, Salina, Denali, Morgan lose out by getting chopped early. Bring back the top2 and lipstick format.

Yeah the bracket system i just think is a bit meh really.

I'd happily see a return of either Lipsync for your legacy - with the winner voting out a Queen, or the Lipsync assassin with the Group Vote.

Whilst neither of them were perfect formats and obviously lead to a couple of questionable decisions, i do think I preferred it to the brackets/ points system.

I agree. Bring back the AS2-4 format.

I just think this is too much filler for a 6 queen bracket, Camden is going to wipe the floor with those girls and bracket 2 is really only Luxx and unfortunately Plane, Vita will get a design win obv

Bracket 2 probably has Vita qualifying by default because iirc Dida was worse at Drag Race than April and Joella is a no hoper. Dahlia might be a possible dark horse if she's got some dance lessons from Aja.

Yeah I agree, I could see Luxx 3 for 3, Plane on 2 with her and Vita 1, I know we don’t even know the challenges but I can’t forsee any challenge where Dahlia, Dida or Joella beats Luxx or Plane barring a colossal shock glow up💀

No to the lipstick format returning, it results well for absolutely no one and imo it allowed for shoddy finals. The bracket system isn’t perfect but at least it allows everyone to have a bit of a moment - controversial take but I’d definitely have some sanctioning on the MVQ points so it’s more relied on queens doing well to advance.

Lady C dominating her bracket I do hope so!! I can’t abide Luxx or Plane at all but I can’t see either of them not destroying their bracket too, I hope to be proven wrong (unless it’s Joella, also no thank you)

barring a couple of strong queens exiting early, the finalists weren't that bad in the lip-stick format. Sure Roxxxy was dragged along in AS2, but the other 3 finalists there were worthy.

AS3 was ruined by the Queens picking the final 2 - a twist too far... and Ben self eliminating.

AS4 had strong Queens, Manila should've been there, but she wasn't actually great in the challenge she exited on anyway.

The other series' using the format didn't exactly have a poor final line up either.

When Joella demolishes bracket 2, then what?

I think they should do the golden beaver/chippy tea type format for All Stars tbh, they’ve not done it and I like that it merges strategy and a fight to stay since they have to lipsync for their place in the competition rather than just be in the bottom and having no say in it. The bracket thing was cute once or twice absolute maximum but I can’t see this being a vintage season at all.

AS2 - Roxxxy had no business being anywhere near the final, she did terrible week after week and the format allowed her to make it there based off Alaska and/or Detox always doing well.

AS3 - lesser extent here but Kennedy was the outright worst in several challenges similarly to Roxxxy and as you said the lipstick for top 2 built her and Trixie up further than they should have ended up (in hindsight it’s actually pretty relieving that Shangela didn’t make it - Bendela eliminating herself was sadly out of anyone’s hands, she was the winner of this season in my mind)

AS4 - little explanation needed, a finalist who sucked for the most part milking the format when it came into her hands and a joint-winner who also had no business being there while the one who performed the best throughout was the biggest casualty of this format. For the one challenge Manila didn’t do so well, Naomi had several.

AS5 - the only series where it actually worked out fairly and quality made the final or at least got close.

I agree with Liam - the beaver/chippy may be a tactical fiddle for those in the wrong hands (looking at you Canada S6) but at least it allows the queens in trouble to put up a fight to save themselves and if they choose not to (e.g. Sminty) then it’s fully on them.

I don't think Lady Camden will stomp the first bracket, particularly if there are a range of challenges. Kori will be big competition and Q will give Camden a good run for her money at times as well. Even Lana and Mirage could do really well given the right challenges.
