  • WE'RE GETTING BACK TO HEAVEN WITH THIS ONE! 🙌

  • Tbh I think they’ll just reset everything and we’ll get Don’t Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall and Live Forever again. I know Acquiese is ahead atm but that can only be due to missing Spotify data. Gue

  • Nothing wrong with Pink Pony Club, I still love it, why all the hate, I've seen worst cough Ordinary cough, hogging the #1 for 3 months. 😁

The gap between the top 2 has narrowed by around 100 sales since Monday, whereas last week the difference between these songs had widened from a similar c. 800 Monday start to around 1k on the Wednesday, and ended on Friday at 1.3k. I'd still say 'Dior' is favourite, but it's going to be pretty close.

'Love Me Not' and 'Pink Pony Club' are again more than 1k below last Wednesday - only a huge drop in the overall market can save them from ACR now.

Dior should get it since it’s now ahead on every platform except Spotify but if it wasn’t for MK’s instagram stories and the extended mix release it was Sabrina’s

Where is Benson's album ? And Lorde's one ?

It’s too close… I feel that Sabrina will do something.

You mean if he wasn’t promoting it. Which off course all artists should if they want success and to do well

How dare an artist promote their music disgraceful behaviour 😤

So Oasis are a 2 album (& a Greatest Hits) wonder nowadays, eh?

FLOPS!!!

kink

Half kidding but it's odd how none of their other albums are top 40...? Weird.

Looking at streaming its the usual suspects song wise doing well im guessing these are the albums they belong to and less of a case of people actually seeking out their whole discography

Their reunion setlist is comprised mostly of the first two albums and their B-sides, people will be streaming the songs they're playing at the shows mostly

Time flies basically has the best songs from those other albums so most people wouldn’t bother listening to them

How come Hard Fi’s album is back? Assuming some sort of anniversary release?

Yup

Didnt expect Acquiesce to climb today so that's a really nice surprise, should definitely be making its top 75 debut now at this rate.

Pitty definitely maybe is lagging behind Sabrina Carpenter for number 3 as im assuming no one has ever occupied the full top 3 albums at the one time before.

The Masterplan was #50 and Be Here Now #67 at the first midweeks but, as gasman449 said, they mostly played songs from their early career.

It's like Arctic Monkeys whose 2 first albums are the most popular and the most streamed/purchased (with AM, of course).

It seems like people don't really care (or like) the other albums even if they had strong sales back in the time.

We'll never know but I wonder how many sales Morning Glory and Definitely Maybe would have if Time Flies... didn't exist.

The OCC separates streams between the albums related to the songs, right ? If so, Wonderwall streams, for example, are presumably dispatched between Time Flies... and Morning Glory (what a mess 😅).

Oasis has also another greatest hits (Stop The Clocks) which includes Champagne Supernova (unlike Time Flies...). I don't think Stop the Clocks is still "relevant" but it was in the iTunes top 30 last weekend (even if downloads volume is very poor nowadays) so it "steals" sales from Time Flies as well... you see what kind of mess this is ? 🤣

Have you read what I've written for Friday's commentary? huh

It was the same gulf between the first two Oasis albums and the rest of their discography when they had the tour announcement boost, they had 3 of the top 5 albums then and nothing else in the top 40 (although 'The Masterplan' and 'Be Here Now' were just outside and 'Heathen Chemistry' just scraped back into the top 100 too).

Streams count towards both the studio album and one compilation album (either a label nominated one or just whichever one is selling the most pure sales) so no 'Time Flies... 1994-2009' isn't cannibalising any sales from those albums, just a lot of double counting + TF... obviously having more streaming sales due to including their later hits as well.

'Stop The Clocks' theoretically should be getting streaming units from the songs on it which are not also on 'Time Flies... 1994-2009' I think but that wouldn't amount to much, especially as the top 2 tracks would have their streaming units weighed down.
