Voted. For such a short semi, it's been the hardest one to vote in for ages for me. I whittled it down from 22 to 18 after my first listen and then to 16 in my second listen.

I could very happily have voted for those other six songs I left out but loving everything I've voted for - the break left people inspired and rejuvenated!

  • The Summer Rain thing REALLY confused me while doing veto research because you guys started doing odds to win before the confirmation period had even ended. So this song was appearing in the odds but

My entry is doing a 24hr live stream to promote his soon-to-be-released album which you could watch instead of listening to your semi 12 times if you would like. He's very handsome and talks about leftist politics a lot if that helps x

I absolutely love Nourished By Time and am hoping 9 2 5 does well… I had it on my list too, I also had The Fields confirmed at one point ages ago but switched it at the final hurdle - regret!

Yes!

That Lotunia entry (a well-known Bulgarian folk song) I actually considered sending a good few years back, albeit a different version by the Ku-Ku band.

I'm sure the melody was also sampled on an old SΓ©yetana entry as well but I can't recall what it was.

Little bit confusing to track this down: my entry was Christopher Tin's Temen Oblak - which was from an album that Tin did based on the theme of water and with contributions from vocal groups around the globe, TO included contributions from a Bulgarian folk choir and two 'quotations' of popular Bulgarian folk songs Kaval Sviri and Ergen Deda. Both have actually been sampled in numerous things but Ergen Deda moreso, including on Bring Me The Horizon's 'Parasite Eve' and I think at least one other BJSC entry.

I think 'Prituri Sa Planinata' contains a sample of Ergen Deda towards the end of it.

Hmmm I looked up all of those to jog my memory and it isn't any of those. I'm pretty sure it was a rock-sounding entry that potentially was in a completely different language and it merely contained a vocal snippet from Prituri Sa Planinata towards the end of the song. It might not have even been your entry actually but I want to place it around 2018/19 that it was entered. Frustrating!
