So I saced Oohelia, Opalite, Showgirl and Cancelled to my playlist. I can miss the others (well aside from Father Figure but that wasn't quite playlist vibe). Very glad I didn't pre-order.

It's not even the lyrics to me. The other tracks are just a big pile of faceless tracks, not Max Martin or Taylor worthy to me. This is her worst album on Metacritic as well, aside from selftitled

Yeah, the album starts pretty strong but the second half starting from Eldest Daughter is pretty much unlistenable apart from Actually Romantic, which is off-putting because of the bizarre diss lyrics.

Idk but I think this is more about how variants are only a problem for one artist but fine for faves of the fandoms who are complaining about that kind of thing?

P.s. I'm very pro-variant, I like having the choice and I don't get the issue (especially when I buy what I want to buy and others can do as they please with their money too)... it's just annoying when people complain when one artist does it but turn a blind eye and buy into it when it's their faves doing it etc.. at the end of the day this is the respective artists jobs and times like these for the industry I'd argue that variants are definitely the most helpful for their careers atm (alongside touring ofc).

I know people who have moaned about Taylor's vinyl variants but then gone and bought every variant of their favourite artists It's just humorous at this point.
