Nearly sent both those Valencia Grace and Tommi Aura picks to BJSC 177!

Many names I know but not the songs.

Yeah I must admit there are a few here that I would maybe have expected to see in BJSC as this theme leant itself to new releases quite well. That said, only about a third were released in the last few weeks, there are a good few recent past songs and a couple of oldies too.

Not that damn Domestic Girlfriend song

ooh the Japanese Breakfast song has a fab chorus indeed, great pick <3 Quite a few other artists I know, but not the songs x

'Cool Me Down' is great, I remember hearing it back in 2016 but forgot about it since so that was a cool re-discovery. It also reminded me of another song from 2016 which would have been perfect for this and I'm confident would have done well. Wish I'd entered that instead of the song I did, I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it sooner

Cool Me Down is definitely a surprise, great song tho 😭 love the Katie Gavin and Japanese Breakfast songs too - I saw the latter live a few years back and Be Sweet was definitely my highlight!

Love that the likes of Porter Robinson, Heidi Montag and Toto can co-exist in a contest on here!

I think most of these should be new to me so looking forward to getting stuck in.

A listenthrough will hopefully be organised for early next week btw...details to come, but @awardinary has kindly offered to help me with that as I'm away for a bit, but will hope to make it to the session!

Margaret was released ages ago. The hype for that song is pretty non-existent now. We're never "as" strict on the veto process here and we all agreed that it was past it's sell-by-date enough and allowed it.

However, some of you did take the mickey a little bit!!!!!!! LMAO. (I don't know who did try it - please don't make yourself known!!!) Why would we allow Avril Lavigne who won a huge pop forum contest mere weeks/months ago?? LMAO! The rest were debatable and fair tries though.
