“Tears” has similar retro vibes to “Espresso”, and indeed is my 2nd favourite Sabrina song behind that.

Biography

KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and released by Netflix. It was directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, from a screenplay by Kang, Appelhans, and Hannah McMechan and Danya Jimenez, based on a story conceived by Kang. The film stars the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Lee Byung-hun. It follows a fictional K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, who lead double lives as demon hunters; they face off against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. KPop Demon Hunters originated from Kang's desire to create a story inspired by her Korean heritage, drawing on elements of mythology, demonology, and K-pop to craft a visually distinct and culturally rooted film. The film was reported to be in production at Sony Pictures Animation by March 2021, with the full creative team attached. The film was animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks and was stylistically influenced by concert lighting, editorial photography, and music videos as well as anime and Korean dramas. The soundtrack features original songs by several talents, and a score composed by Marcelo Zarvos. KPop Demon Hunters was released on June 20, 2025, on Netflix, to positive reviews, with praise for its animation, visual style, voice acting, humor, and music. - Wikipedia

Much preferring ‘Tears’ to ‘Manchild’! I agree with others that ‘House Tour’ is crying out for a single release too.

Tears is such a fun bop. Need Manchild to drop out to allow another song to chart getting sick of that one now

Turns out the K-pop Demon Hunters tunes in the Top 5 are not on my CD part, but on the cassette part of the recording...

Lol at the 2 seconds of Sabrina before Soda Pop - Radio 1's ideal number 3 I'm guessing 😆

And their ideal number one would be Man I Need, but let's find out...

Lmao I just can’t get my head around it… dare I say the songs aren’t that good?

Well, this has very much outshone the Bo Selecta ‘Soda Pop’ as a chart force, now for someone to release an unrelated song called ‘Proper Crimbo’…

Biography

Singer/songwriter Olivia Dean crafts poignant ballads and warm pop anthems, showcasing a deep sense of self-awareness. Born in 1999 in Enfield and raised in Walthamstow, Dean participated in gospel choir at a young age, before busking in the streets and eventually attending the famous BRIT School. Influenced by Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Carole King, Dean’s own take on music is autobiographical and vulnerable. In 2019, she released her debut EP, Ok Love You Bye, which delved into the challenging aspects of dating, like on the meditative “Password Change”. The following year, Dean dropped her follow-up EP, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?, a concise but evocative set of songs brimming with celestial melodies and confessional lyrics. Dean’s signature introspective style continues to grow more intimate, as evinced by the delicate 2021 EP Growth, highlighted by the soul-baring single “Be My Own Boyfriend”. - Apple Music

If We Don't Talk About Bruno which is objectively far more of a children's song than any of the Demon Hunters songs can spend 7 weeks at #1 then anything is possible.
