I think lead hits and features count the same. So your first example is disqualified but your second is fine.

If you search for the artist on Polyhex there should be exactly one result with a Top 40 peak.

Well it would be a nearly 6 year+ gap between hits if that happened... not impossible, but unlikely.

Would need something to have a very random re-set I suppose. Not impossible given recent OCC form.

Poor Tame Impala only becoming eligible the week before last, and becoming ineligible the following week.

I was thinking this too, although the way Addy has worded the rule suggests the artist could have had their Top 40 hit before the period covered in this forum (2000-2019) as well as during it, but I'm not sure about after?

I was racking my brain wondering who was about to achieve this niche feat. Now it makes sense!

I have confirmed now, on the assumption that nobody has got to the artist first. But went through at least 30 different options, it seems I like one-hit wonders a lot.

We’re saying the hit can be from whenever.

An artist just popped into my head so went ahead and confirmed them, hopefully not already snapped up

I am shocked to see some names already !!!

Some of them seem to be big names and I thought they had few hits, but apparently they did not lol.

I found quite a few names on my searches who had several hit albums but only one hit single (but would still fit under the rules stated).

It's really astonishing how few hit singles some really quite major artists managed.

BTW, should someone invite the guy with the Harry Potter reference who wanted to be informed of another contest?
