Didn't we actually start around the same time? 🖤I had never really paid attention to EOY before, then suddenly it was here and I prefer to ignore those things. December 15, 2025Dec 15 The aesthetics!Lovely to see a few FLJ entries make it in to your chart, especially pleased to see Destroyer in there as I can't imagine many people would include that one - and Delaporte too which remains one of my fave songs of the year... and we share the same #1 from another country, Deal really was that song!Congratulations on such an amazing year in the contest <3 Sorry to hear that you're thinking of taking a break, although if that's what you need then so be it. I don't know if you've found this to be the case but doing particularly well kinda brings a weird sense of self pressure that can kind of suck the fun out of it - the stats are great and add some geeky fun to proceedings but also that weird pressure. I nearly always self sabotage after a good run by sending something that I know won't do well just to take the pressure off, ridiculous but true! I don't know how Rob coped with it although maybe you become immune to the pressure after 84 years of qualifying and doing well. Just like I don't know how Cody copes with it after always doing so well.

Still I'm delighted to see six Bronzil entries in your top 100 list - especially seeing Cult Of Venus in there as I love it but my stats had that as a 3 pointer (and MØ a commiseration from memory) - and I'll post more of my stats in a few days, but can confirm those 58 points to Bronzil were the most I received from any nation this year 🖤 Thank you for all the support, and for sharing the playlist - it's wonderful to see contest entries leaving a legacy in general, and I'll enjoy being reminded of many I liked but haven't returned to until now!

I really didn't expect Tori Amos to be such a big hit, but sometimes an icon is an icon x I need to stop warning people about a potential break because... I have already chosen my next entry. Somehow, just a week away from Buzzjack made realise it'll be a new year and the pressure is gone. I can flop freely again
