January 23Jan 23 13 hours ago, Jack said:I think overall no matter what the outcome....this has been a bit of a damp squib of a series really. Some funny camp moments but no real good drama, a lot of the likeable people went fairly early on and it has never felt really tense at any stage, like not really anyway.I was really enjoying it at first but I agree, with the loss of literally all the best players so early on it makes for kinda boring viewing when you're not really rooting for someone until the end. I just can't get behind this group of faithfuls because there is nothing endearing about any of the ones remaining, Jade is my favourite from that bunch but that's just kinda by default. I don't think she actually adds much to the faithful side except taking the brunt of some people's suspicions. As much as I love the Traitors, I think they need to put something in place so that the drifters are out early on but idk how as the more prominent personalities are usually the biggest threats to the traitors or the ones they can pin it on. I don't think Rachel has a hope in hell of winning now unfortunately, I was rooting for her as she definitely seems to be the most intelligent and actually thinks in a logical game play sense but there's too much heat on her now, if she isn't banished now she will be next. Same goes for James so the chest doesn't really matter, they could just banish them both really 😂 I'd like to see Jade win but I don't think she will either because of the suspicion that's been on her thought. @ElectroBoy is probably right in that it will be Stephen vs Faraaz and Jack. In that situation I'd want Stephen to win however I'm sure I read online that Jack proposed to his girlfriend which is something he said he'd do if he won the money so...
January 23Jan 23 Author Just now, Lindsey. said:I'm sure I read online that Jack proposed to his girlfriend which is something he said he'd do if he won the money so...Yeah I read that too.Either Jack is going to be the new Meryl (dragged to the final, not suspecting any Traitors, but majorly helped by those left to carry on and banish the last Traitor), or the new Mollie (ousting the last other faithful and putting his trust in 1 player, who turns out to be a traitor at the end).Whilst Faraaz has played a quiet game until the last week - its possibly the best way to play it. Not becoming a target, helpful in the missions and watching everything before striking. In terms of entertainment - possibly not the strongest, but in terms of the Faithful he has possibly played it the best. Its so difficult line to tread, knowing when to be vocal. Ultimately though Rachel and Stephen should've murdered him instead of Roxy. Edited January 23Jan 23 by ElectroBoy
January 23Jan 23 It's a fascinating game, really. It's not very often with any of these competition type shows where staying under the radar is basically your best chance of success. We've seen it pretty much every series now.
January 23Jan 23 Oh my GOD they f***ing did it So, so happy for both of them, Rachel in particular because Stephen really seemed like he was gonna switch up on her for a hot minute. They both deserve it so much, the best traitor duo we've had and original traitors making it to the end and winning together Jack still not realising in that moment what was actually happening to him when they voted Faraaz out was iconic and a summary of how useless he was throughout the whole game
January 23Jan 23 That was an epic finaleSo glad they both stuck together and took the crown! The realisation on the banished players faces when they realised was perfect tv
January 23Jan 23 i CANT believe they did it !! the ending i’ve been wanting all season and it really felt like it had fallen out of their grasp in the last few episodes. i wanna say rachel is so lucky and owes stephen everything, but you have to reaver how she pulled him through the first 75% of the competition, he wouldn’t be there without her either. so deserved and they made for such good tv. i was so gutted for jade, she had a really hard road, but thank god we didn’t have the bore fest of faraaz and jack winning. this must be what it feels like to be a football fan lolll
January 23Jan 23 Amazed but also not amazed that Rachel dragged herself through that. The Faithful, none of whom deserved to win anyway, dug their own graves. There were scenarios I could have seen the faithful winning but it always depended on whether Stephen and Rachel stuck together or not.All in all it’s been a great series but I honestly didn’t care who won after last Friday. Roxy got her wish at least x
January 23Jan 23 I honestly can't believe that Rachel has managed to do that but I'm so happy that she did it! It was the outcome I wanted the most but I never in a million years thought they would actually do it!!!!The way Jack still couldn't see what was happening even after they'd turned on Jade and Faraaz just summed up the whole thing.
January 23Jan 23 So, so pleased. What an amazing outcome for them both, it's so rare seeing traitors that stick together no matter what and don't jump on any bandwagons so seeing them triumph feels like the only right one this year. Especially impressive as they really seemed like such clear dead people walking for a while now, but they really carried each other well. I didn't dislike the Faithfuls as much as last year with Jake and Leanne but Faraaz and Jack would've been really underwhelming after all that.I was really sad for Jade though, I think that's the one faithful I would've been happy with winning, she'd really been targeted so much and it clearly was starting to hurt her a bit, it stung even more that they didn't know that she was innocent at that stage.Such a contrast to last year's damp squib of a final, think it's been a great series overall, yeah maybe a bit too many created dramas and huge oversights, but still very entertaining, I thought the tasks (always the weakest part of the game) were noticeably improved this year.
January 23Jan 23 What an amazing end to a fantastic series. I got hooked last series but I could see the criticisms there, in the game, in the mindset of some contestants, in the eventual outcome. This series has stepped up in every area. Literally the only weak point was the attempts at the secret relationships and those really don't matter.I fell off a bit the double Traitor train over the last few episodes as it seemed less certain and I started to look among the Faithful for a deduction, but as we went through this final episode, I switched back again, it really was incredible teamwork and skill and yes, a bit of a luck, from both Traitors to make it this far in the game, to not doubt each other and use that to win together. Obvious, but what sold it for me is that in the end Rachel stuck to her pact to not write Stephen's name down and Stephen stuck to his promise to play a fair game. Best winners of the UK series by far, great ending and could well be in the future a high point for this show (though of course I hope they keep improving)Only minor quibble is being sad for how Jade exited without being able to reveal but it led to a great final fire and the Traitors played that so perfectly.gonna miss this lot, the whole cast were likeable to an extent
January 23Jan 23 The right people won in the end. Both played good games at times and both needed each other to cover for their mistakes or heat. I think if they'd turned on each other before the final, the Faithful would have won.I like people to win who play the best games and in the end I warmed to Rachel. When the heat was on at the end, she played it brilliantly. Obviously she got a lot of luck with the draw of lots at the end, but I feel it's the right way to end the series.Loved the show, I always think the middle half is the strongest in all the series and it was the same in this series too.
January 23Jan 23 The thing is, I don’t think a Faithful win will ever feel quite satisfying as the best of the faithful never get there. I would have been behind Jessie and Harriet getting there but they would have always been murdered/banished along the way. You’ll always get a Jack in the final it’s just whether they’d win or not.
January 23Jan 23 Incredible end to a really great series, this is the show that just keeps on giving. My heart was beating so fast during that endgame! I'm thrilled Rachel and Stephen stood by each other in the end, it made for such a satisfying end, they were a great team and really stepped up for each other in the most discreet ways, with redirections, and not shying away from mentioning each other's names near the end so they could cover their tracks. I called how their strategy for the endgame should've gone and I'm really pleased they actually managed to divide and conquer, splitting Jack and Faraaz to then take both out. Even when both had their shortcomings, they were able to navigate it so well. I didn't think they'd be able to pull it off (I'd basically written Rachel off lol) but I'm so thrilled they did!Even more satisfying that the alternative was the most undeserving faithfuls winning - Faraaz had some good calls near the end but was a non-entity for 75% of the game, and Jack offered nothing throughout. I felt bad for Jade, she was the more deserving faithful.
January 23Jan 23 Author Amazed Rachel managed to get through and manipulate to the end! Her and Stephen deserved the win really. The Faithfull needed to work out a plan and it just didn’t happened. It would’ve been wrong for Jack to win really.
January 23Jan 23 That was incredible, I couldn't have asked for a better finish!! I love that the two of them did the whole thing together and didn't turn on one another. I did feel really bad for Jade but she was never going to be a winner unfortunately. That was so deserved, Rachel was the brains of most of it but it just shows that you can't do it all alone and having an ally really helped both of them. I went to a watch party in Glasgow for it with Lewis and Patrick and it was really fun to experience the atmosphere, the volume of the cheer at Stephens last slate was amazing 😅
January 23Jan 23 I’m at work so I can’t write longer but I thought I didn’t want Rachel to do it until it happened and then I was like …nah, that was the best end result. There’s something satisfyingly poetic about the traitors remaining faithful to one another in a game where they’ve had to be so deceiving. But I think there’s been so much talk about how good of a traitor Rachel has been that Stephen has fallen by the wayside, yet it was all in his hands during that episode. Every vote came down to him, he dictated the entire final and that’s quite incredible given how on the ropes he was at times. He’s definitely my favourite of the series - did it all with some kind of heart too, which is near on impossible to do.Such a great series though. Following the celebrity version seemed like it’d impossible to meet the expectations of but the setup of the game and the casting ensured I was just as entertained all over again.
January 23Jan 23 YES YES YEEEESSSSS!!! I'M GONNA WATCH THIS NOWI DIDN'T GET THR SPOLIERD BEFOREHAND TO DECIDE OR BOT SO I'LL DO IT NARRWWW
