A bit harsh for Mango to miss out on the medals after that points drought (likewise Chez for the win), but all the top 5 were in my votes or commiserations at least. Julian's deserved better than 23rd but not bad results on the whole.

14 voters would normally be enough for top 10 in one of these contests, and after all yesterday's votes for Kim Wilde were between 3 and 7 points, today this was stretched at both ends to... between 2 and 8 points - thanks J00p for my sole medal! I've still yet to finish 10th or 20th in any Buzzjack song contest, and my stack of 11th places is starting to rival those in 21st! Still I'm glad so many of you liked the song too.

My points seriously dried up after finishing the night in 3rd but still happy with 9th place, yay! Once again I forgot I was on quite a hot streak in this contest until consulting the archive just now I don't think I'm particularly associated with pop in song contests so 7 top 10s in a row is pretty good going !!

I jest (maybe), I did sense that amazing start wouldn't carry over looking at the voters still to come, but I'm obviously very happy with 2nd (and for fooling a person that isn't Bre x), it's one that I had bookmarked for a potential contest for a while but KKB had been sent a few times to BJSC, I really love the more introspective tone of this one compared to their other work and the environmental themes coupled with that classic optimism does make it a very uplifting and epic listen.

Thanks for all who voted and congrats to Rob, this one was OK if not quite to the standard of her entries sent here a while back, pleased to see a lot of my votes made it to the top 10 as well, though wish Neon Bunny and Tulip had done better.

Gosh that points drought today was harsh! A 4th place finish isn't too shabby though - in fact, aside from when I won Bop Idol 2 last year, 4th is my best ever placement in a Buzzjack song contest, woop woop!

Chez is lucky enough to come 2nd tbh!!!!!!!! It was questioned as to whether it was "pop" enough (or if we'd have found them a bit *too* Indie leaning.... ) but we felt it was indie-pop enough to avoid the veto

Serious though, I enjoyed this contest more than I feared I would tbh. Long songs aren't really my *thing* most of the time, but I didn't find a bad song/song I didn't like in this at all. Thank you for hosting a swift and smooth (for the most part - ignoring the very early oversight from us!!) contest and congratulations to Rob for the victory!

The Remi Wolf oversight was partly my responsibility. What's worse is that I was even in that edition. I hope that didn't cause any discouragement or anything. 😔 I'm curious whether the outcome would've changed or remained the same.

I had a quick look at the votes the second day to ensure I didn't reveal the winner too early, other than that, the major droughts were something I didn't plan at all.

I was doing my results acting less like a host (not knowing who wins beforehand) and more a mere participant, didn't imagine I would, by mere accident, cause a few songs at the top to go the way they went (and a lot of pain to their entrants 🫣).

By the way, I had not checked for new records. Who made new peak positions this time? Somebody do it pls. ✌

Rob winning marks his best result to date, while DaTilt scored a top 10 with their debut entry. I matched my previous best result while Mango and WoW73 both got their best results to date this contest.

Jessica was really an underrated star in late 90's/early 00's. Her whole debut album could have really been Britney's debut album . For me 'I Do' has the same quality production of Britney's 'Born To Make You Happy' and Celine's 'Just The Way It Is' ...Max Martin production at finest!!!

Honestly, I expected my 3rd re-confirmation to not perform well at all. Your Lie in April is such a generational anime and will always be discussed every decade. Wish I could send its iconic opening theme, but unlike the Arash/Helena situation in Bop Idol, I was fully aware that Goose house had already been sent to BJSC: Japan vs. South Korea (yes, this is a pleading to revive the contest x). Even though it would have been allowed due to the mostly different participant base, I chose to avoid sending it out of respect.

Given how personal all its 4 themes for me, I had no regrets for sending a slow pop-rock song once in a while. Therefore, thank you to DaTilt, Rollo, and Iz for the points, as well as AllStar for the lovely Director's Fan. 🩵

Not a huge fan of the overall results, but happy to see KKB, Geowulf, and Baby Bugs on the Top 10!
