‘Moot Point’ is the proper term plus as has been said since my post and yours, Wham have also released and are promoting physical copies.

Cool but in a streaming dominated world physical media revenue is still rare and MOOT 😅

Not quite sure I agree, Kylie's fan base are notorious for lapping all this up in a way not many are. I mean, you only had to see the merch (tat) that was sold in her pop up shop for instance - she has the type of fan base who would probably even buy toilet paper with her name on it lol

I got a toilet roll as an Xmas gift this year from a parent and on it said "For all the shit teachers have to put up with" 😂

They have they released a picture disc, snowflake white vinyl, Black Standard vinyl and CD single (Released on the 5th December this year) No one really bothered buying because they sold 6k physicals last year for the 40th Anniversary so they were just repressed for this year.

I’m trying to get my head around what you are saying here. I guess the important point is (and this goes against something someone said later on the thread) George Michael is a person whose fanbase still mobilises to buy physical products.

Like Kylie, he has a very large and committed fanbase in the UK.

I stopped reading at for the shit teachers 🤭

How many chart hits have we had beginning with X? I can only think of Xanadu of the top of my head 🤣

I'm saying that Wham! Also made decent revenue for the 40th Anniversary pressings of Last Christmas because they sold 6k physicals last year and that although they were repressed / restocked this year the quantities sold were minimal because everyone purchased last year. So clearly the bulk of sales come from the fanbase rather than people picking up a copy because they love Last Christmas. Sorry I should of made it clearer that I was referring to the revenue side.

Off the top of my head: DMX - 'X Gon' Give It to Ya' got to #6!

Edit: just remembered M.I.A.'s 'XXXO' went top 40 as well

Searched "X" on the OCC website and these ones went top 40:

X Gon' Give It To Ya - DMX #6 in 2003

X-Files - DJ Dado #8 in 1996 (Mark Snow's original also got to #2 but was listed as THE X-Files)

X - Xzibit #14 in 2001

X Y And Zee - Pop Will Eat Itself #15 in 1991

X-Mas - Corey Taylor #37 in 2010

Now that is some niche chart trivia 😂

Polyhex also has:

24/07/2010 M.I.A. XXXO 26

18/01/2014 Beyonce XO 22

06/05/2017 Lil Uzi Vert XO TOUR Llif3 25

'Xanadu' by Olivia Newton-John and Electric Light Orchestra is the only #1 (until now), while the only letter yet to have produced a #1 is "Z", going close with 'Zoom' by Fat Larry's Band (#2, 1982), and 'Zambesi' by Lou Busch (#2 for 4 weeks in 1956)!

Why would you add and capitalise an H?! Surely you would just say LC? (or even better just type Last Christmas, it's not that much effort lol)

In Polish CH is the same as H (as spoken) so first I made a typo writing LH (meant LCH) then I just automatically wrote LCH.

While im over the moon to see Kylie extending her lead im not allowing myself to believe it will be number 1 just yet as for a long long time i believed Slow would remain her last number 1, if the unthinkable happens and she holds that number 1 i will be super happy and as others said in other posts a Christmas Number 1 is one of the few things Kylie hasnt achieved so im keeping everything crossed it now happens.

Same. I don't think we can be complacent and assume she has it yet. Most fans will have already downloaded and bought - so the sales will be lower for Wednesday and Thursday. She is only on Amazon for streams and Wham are top on there as well as other platforms. Kylie even went down a place from 4 to 5 on the Amazon chart. So it could still be very close. I pray she gets it but i'm not counting my chickens!

Thanks, I didn't know CH and H were the same sound in Polish!
