So only three songs survived Christmas last year, and stayed on the chart all year?

I dont know if they'll be as underestimated as people reckon it was on 2.4m for Christmas eve and the know from past years the Christmas day streams will be bigger

Looking how low Mariah was in the end of year chart does not bode well for Christmas Day estimates.

Remember, the estimates are an average of the six previous days of the week

I thought it was supposed to be based on the trend for the week

Also they have been a lot more dominant than Mariah this year

I think that’s what it was supposed to be. But i’m not sure if that has ever been reflected in reality. I may be wrong.

Excited for tomorrows chart so we can get back to normality and see what bounces back the best!

Boxing Day last day Christmas songs that start dipping after that

Wham! beat its Christmas Week Total from last year but couldn't beat Adele:

*Position unaffected by combining multiple versions

Bearing in mind globally a second version of Last Christmas charted, AND there is a 3rd version getting considerable streams, I’d imagine Last Christmas’s total was more than Adele’s.

Great numbers but sadly they don't matter for charts.

Amazing but sadly yesterday's streams will be (under)estimated for tonight's chart

Who's looking forward to the Christmas songs starting to drop like flies on streaming charts tomorrow?

Last Christmas was still number one on Boxing Day last year, don't think they'll drop that quickly but will be nice to see what's been lurking beneath them!

RIP Perry Bamonte of The Cure, hopefully we see a boost for their back catalogue (or at least Friday I'm In Love bc he's on that)

Do we expect any Christmas songs to cling on in the first top 40 of 2026, I reckon Kylie and Wham may still be there as well as being a day closer than last year.

Boys Don’t Cry was actually in the weekly Spotify Chart this week despite the Christmas takeover and has been doing well recently, obviously he wasn’t part of the band when it came out but as we’ve seen with previous deaths of band members that doesn’t really matter when it comes to streaming boosts.
