I just love doing the certifications and observing the charts. It pleases my little, autistic brain.

I'll be continuing to do the certifications every Friday. It'll be a nice distraction.

Am I the only one here that somehow looks forward to that more than the weekly OCC singles and albums charts? 😃

Minecraft OST certified ❤️

Other highlights for me are the two Three Days Grace certifications (especially Animal I Have Become which is no longer credited to "Big Shiny Tunes 11" by the OCC 😆), Why Does It Always Rain On Me platinum (bet most of the plays that pushed it over this week are from me) and as a Sunderland fan ofc Can't Help Falling In Love 3x platinum!

With Adele's "I'll Be Waiting" now certified silver, that makes the entire standard tracklist of 21 certified!

1. "Rolling in the Deep" (5x Platinum)

2. "Rumour Has It" (Platinum)

3. "Turning Tables" (Platinum)

4. "Don't You Remember" (Gold)

5. "Set Fire to the Rain" (4x Platinum)

6. "He Won't Go" (Silver)

7. "Take It All" (Silver)

8. "I'll Be Waiting" (Silver)

9. "One and Only" (Gold)

10. "Lovesong" (Silver)

11. "Someone like You" (7x Platinum)

"reputation" and "folklore" by Taylor Swift have got all of their songs certified.

Blondie - Current Joys

I did try doing that but could only find 3 non-charting platinum albums before giving up!

Sean Paul - Dutty Classics Collection [N/A]

Blondie - Essential [N/A]

The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die [N/A]

It took 198 weeks for it to get from Gold to Platinum. That's an average of 1,010 units a week. It should go 2x Platinum in mid-2037.

It was one of the 'big' tracks of 99 but didn't sell enough for silver that year. The album is 9x Platinum

545,309 pre February 1994 units + 3,000,000 post February 1994 units = 3,545,309 total chart units! Massive!

Deniece Williams - Let's Hear It For The Boy (Platinum)

286,841 pre February 1994 units + 600,000 post February 1994 units = 886,841 total chart units

❤️

Saw you mentioning Playboi Carti's 'Magnolia' as going platinum in the platinum non top 40 hits thread but has been left off the list in this thread - that's my highlight of the week anyway, the first song I heard from him and he's never really come close to topping it since then, absolute banger.

Yay for the two Lana platinum certs as well + wow at 'Innerbloom' going silver, a non-charting nearly 10 minute long electronic track cheeseblock (there is a shorter version of it but the full length one has more plays on Spotify).

edit: Jade beating me to commenting on that one magic
