Given there’s no Rogue Traders I’ve gone with the Sia song, even if it’s 10 years old and from the US edition of This Is Acting.

Didn't even realise there was a new Sia song, haven't heard of that anywhere o was just about to vote for Mel C but I'll have to give Sia a listen first!

I’ve been obsessed with “Fabulous” by Meek since she played a snippet on TikToK last year. Didn’t think it was ever gonna arrive, and here it is! What a tune! Hope this is a big hit for her.

My personal rankings for Week 5;

  1. Sia – Fist Fighting a Sandstorm

  2. MARIS – Body Is On Fire

  3. LUNA – Away With The Fairies

  4. Yaeger – Poseidon

  5. MEEK – Fabulous

  6. December 10 – Run My Way

  7. Melanie C – What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

  8. Cannons – Starlight

  9. Margaret – let you talk about it

  10. Grace VanderWaal – Prettier

  11. Boy In Space – Who’s Crying When I’m Leaving?

  12. Lauren Spencer Smith – Natural Disaster

1 MARIS

2 Cannons

3 Yaeger

4 Margaret

5 December 10

6 LUNA

7 Boy In Space

8 Melanie C

9 Grace VanderWaal

10 Sia

11 Lauren Spencer Smith

12 MEEK

Has a couple of mildly screechy vocal moments but the core tune of the MARIS track is strong enough for me to bop to it (she knows her way around a catchy tune, liking this song slightly more than her BJSC entries), the Cannons song is also a solid tune if not particularly original. Yaeger's song has a cool vibe to it but not much of a hook really. Margaret was a decent enough lite bop. The whole concept of December 10 is pretty cringe but the song itself is better than I expected I suppose, at least has a pulse to it. 6-7 both fine, 8-9 just went in one ear and out the other, the Sia song definitely could have just stayed in the vault (very repetitive), the Lauren song at least sounds like a song and not a PSA which makes it slightly better than her chart hits I guess but I've never been a fan of her voice and melodrama. That MEEK thing is some cringe that I hope has now generated enough attention that we can not have it show up in BJSC x

(lol none of the songs that I even sort of liked getting more than 1 vote cheeseblock)
