So yes, Bowie was I, the old man, Katie Waissel, Twink master and the one that most of you were dreading to hear every round ;D This does feel the right time for me to go - Quite frankly, I'm not sure

Maybe part of the final can be ‘Christmas songs’.

Not tactical at all.

Curse you pop fans voting in a contest in the pop forum with the word 'pop' in the name for supporting pop music.

In all seriousness, that wasn't the best choice for Florence + The Machine really imo (although I still ranked it 4th x) but still sad to see them out as they definitely had the strongest overall discography of the remaining artists for me. Bowie being out is unsurprising but still a letdown as well x

The Conan song was the one discovery that I did quite enjoy from this round. My ranking:

Bowie

Scissors

Conan

Florence

Lily

ABBA

Kelly

Kitten

Delta

But really the bottom 4 could have almost been in any order (I ranked the ABBA song the highest because I could appreciate what it was trying to do, but I still thought in execution it was pretty bland oops)

I'm guessing you mean non-English speaking... as ABBA are Swedish, Conan, Kelly and SS are from the US and Delta is an Aussie.

Chez, Chez, Chez... you've managed to play such a brilliant game keeping David Bowie in this long - and having the backing of a powerful, more alt-leaning vote working in your favour - as the kingpin of the twinks in the competition, the bohemian of them all. In a competition like this it could've been an early out but with a broad range of voters, someone with such a classic discography adored by many carried him all the way to this point, and that's down to excellent gameplay knowing what to play and when (and that instrumental risk paid off!). As for Florence + the Machine, elgornio has done an incredible job of showing off their stellar discography, and certainly keeping very much in line with the essence of The Pop Factor. Can be said for both, but lots of big hits managed to keep Florence going, as well as some much-loved album tracks and new discoveries for many. Thank you both for playing, and as first-time participants you should be very proud of making it this far into the competition! heart clap

Yes. I wasn't thinking of nationalities at all. 😄

Well done Chez and Elgornio for making the quarters! Both showcased some great songs.

Not surprised at the two who have gone, they both did well to last as long as they did tbh.

Can't remember my exact votes but Conan was top by a country mile, 'Lonely Dancers' is an undeniable bop from a brilliant album, so I'm glad he survived.

Hard to call a winner at this point, maybe Abba if the right songs are sent?

Conan was top of my votes too

Would be cool for him to get to the final so we have at least one of every group there

Intrigued to see these results. Expecting Atomic Kitten to be top with a tight race for survival at the bottom.
