A mixed bag for me. Top 4 is GREAT. Nelly is an excellent first choice. Enjoyed 6-8 a lot. Toni and Delta are cute. I donmt hate Kesha or ROSALÍA, I’vejust never understood the hype around those songs/artist - so they were always going to be an uphill battle. Not a fave Lily song for me at all!

god LiSA songs always slap so hard and this is no exception, in fact may be one of the most energetic I can think of (Oath Sign and Ash maybe close, I need to do a deep dive of her albums one of these days so it's not just the basic bitch anime themes I stan). Glad to know she's still got it.

Wasn't the most familiar with the FKA Twigs or Rosalia ones but they are also excellent. One of my favourite Kesha songs, the Michelle Branch song was a cool little pop-rock discovery, I was impressed by the Cher Lloyd and Nadia Oh choices (I knew Sirens but it's probably her best? now I think about it there's not much else I remember from her).

Innocent Eyes and Good Luck Babe are fine songs in the middle, I'm Like A Bird and Walk Away are not my favourite songs from those artists at all but I know there's much better out there, I wasn't a big fan of the Toni Braxton track and uh, I enjoy Lily Allen normally. That's my least favourite Lily Allen song lol

Belated commentary for the girls:

• Good Luck, Babe is contender for pop song of the century imo so Chappell was always going to win this round for me. Definitely wouldn't have been my first choice for her though! If there were bookies odds for Pop Factor, she would definitely be firm outsider to be eliminated on Monday right?

• Fantastic choices for Nelly, Kelly and Kesha. All strong selections from their discographies but not their best. Excited to see what all three of them bring this season.

• Michelle Branch's Everywhere was a brilliant discovery! I'm not familiar with her music so that was a great starting point. Similarly have never heard this Delta track before despite knowing it by name since forever. It's a good discovery, though I'm sure there are other songs of hers I'll prefer.

• I wasn't wowed by either of FKA or Rosalia's entries but they were enjoyable enough.

• Sirens is definitely one of Cher Lloyd's better songs but her voice on the track kinda of grates on me these days. Solid choice though: surely it's regarded as the fan-favourite?

• 10-13 are misses for me I'm afraid. Hopefully Lily makes it through because she has so many better songs but this was not it. Toni's style of song here is just so far removed from what I like atm and struggles to stand up against the rest of the songs. Lisa's entry sounded horrible to my ears (sorry Lisa's mentor!)

The LiSA song was a banger and my best discovery (I think the Michelle song might have been new to me too although sounded vaguely familiar, that was also a good discovery/re-discovery too and the Nadia and Delta songs were both solid too). Hope she won't be out first. Unless it actually is between her and ROSALÍA in which case bye x (although ROSALÍA does seem to have picked up later in the thread)
