Yesterday at 20:051 day Finally done my first listen of this now (it's technically still 'over the weekend' for me as I've been on annual leave for the past few days so had a 5 day weekend ) - I didn't immediately clock the Kelis song when looking through the entries but came back to me immediately when I heard it, actually thought I then remembered it being a minor top 40 hit but was confusing it with '4th Of July (Fireworks)' from the same era. Also knew the Hayley Kiyoko/Kehlani song sounded familiar - just checked and it was a top 3 in the first BJSC Pride spinoff so should really have been vetoed here whoops but obviously much too late to be pointing that out now guess we'll see if it can do as well second time around (fwiw I actually liked it more than I remembered).2019 is quite a generous cutoff point for entries to this contest, a couple of these entries did not really feel much like a 'throwback'! Solid batch of songs though, will definitely have a top 10 I'm happy with, will most likely do a second listen and vote on Saturday.

Another song was vetoed for coming top three in a main BJSC contest (a very long time ago).Although is there even any resource to check BJSC spin-off entries / results? Yesterday at 20:381 day If there is a list of spinoff entries anywhere it'd be very out of date! (should put one together one of these days). It took me a little while to actually find where it had been entered even when specifically searching the site for that one song lol, I just had an inkling it had been in something but wasn't sure if it was in a BJSC spinoff or the Pop Forum Song Contest or even on PopJustice (my encyclopaedic memory for entries to the main BJSC does not extend as well to the other contests oop).
